This works very well, however is there a way to use the value being passed from collector to set the value of a note in Survey123 that is simply text designed for display only in the survey?

James, External selects referenced in the link you sent might work for us. My next question is: once an overall selection of needed parts is made during an inspection and is saved to itemsets.csv, is a separate itemsets.csv file created for each inspection or will it be grouped in one master csv file? If they are all placed in the same csv file, how would I be able to extract the parts that were selected in each individual survey over time? Hope this makes sense. Thanks for all of your help!

Narrowing the list is what I have in mind but the master parts list (containing all possible parts for all possible models) will have over 170 choices total, which as I see it would require 170 different fields in a table. Once a user selects a model a much smaller number of parts from the 170 will be available to select in Survey123. As I see it I would still need to create a large number of fields in a table to correspond to each part (170 in my example) which is not best practice. So I'm trying to figure out a better way such as multiple related tables (one related table per hydrant model?).

I'm currently working on a survey where users inspect hydrants. One section of the survey needs to be presented as a parts list where the user will choose which parts are needed for the hydrant. We have various models and specific parts for each model. I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle this given that there may be over 170 different parts over the various lists. I don't think it's a great practice to add 170+ fields to a table and I'm not sure if multiple related tables (each table would be a parts list for a specific model) in my feature service would be the way to go. Any help or suggestions on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, George Hilton Town of Queensbury, NY

At this point I am having no luck. I’ve gone so far as to contact ESRI support. I’m hoping to get an answer in the next couple days and will share what I find out.

I am trying to use open Survey 123 from Collector in order to update a related table in a feature service. I have been following the steps in this article: How To: Populate a related table from a Survey123 for ArcGIS feature service for Collector for ArcGIS I am able to open Survey 123 from ArcGIS Collector and add a record in the related table. The problem I'm having is that the record added to the related table does not populate the GUID field in the related table (see image below) This is an image of the XLSX sheet in Survey 123 showing the type, name, label and field type for the GUID field in the related table This is the URL passed to the popup in Collector to open Survey 123 from Collector: arcgis-survey123://?itemID=9c24cd21569440f8b442d412781144fe&field:ParentGlobalID=[HYDGUID] The record is added to the related table but the GUID is not populated. Attachments are also added but are not linked to the feature layer. I'm not sure what I'm missing that will allow me to add the GUID to the related table and have the related record linked to the parent feature. I am able to successfully link the two tables and populate the GUID field in Collector when NOT linking to Survey 123. Supports ApplyEdits with GlobalIDs is true in the feature service. Thanks, George Hilton

Field names did not have spaces but the domain did. Your answer is correct. No spaces in field names or domains allowed. Thanks!

I am trying to create a survey from an existing feature service. The service contains a point layer and a related table. I want to only use the related table to collect information in the survey. I'm trying to create the survey in Survey 123 Connect and I receive the following error (see image). I've also attached a view of the spreadsheet highlighting the field that is causing the error. The service publishes with no errors in ArcMap and works without errors in Collector. Any help regarding the error and what I can do to use only a related table in a feature service for a survey is greatly appreciated. Thanks, George Hilton Town of Queensbury, NY

Is there a way to hide the RF on a print map created using the JS API? I want to display only the scale bar and hide the RF text (ex. 1:600) which appears above. Thanks, George Hilton Town of Queensbury, NY

Hello, I have some code I've written to allow users to print a map. When the map is printed it is printed at a scale that is not the same as the current map Scale. Here is the code: function doprintclck() { var incleg; var tst = $('#legchkbox').prop('checked'); //Set incleg variable based on checked property of legchkbox. This is used to add or hide legend if ($('#legchkbox').prop('checked')) { incleg = true; }else { incleg = false; } var sctxt = $('#inptscale').val(); //Test to see if it is a number //TODO Put this into an input function for the input box //if (isNaN(Number(sctxt))) { //var sc = Math.round(map.getScale() / 12); //$('#inptscale').val(sc); //return; // } //Get Scale from input box as RF var outscale = $('#inptscale').val() * 12; //Create Print Map createprintmap(incleg, outscale); } function createprintmap(leg, scl) { console.log(leg, scl); require(["esri/tasks/PrintTemplate", "esri/tasks/PrintParameters", "esri/tasks/PrintTask", "esri/SpatialReference", "esri/tasks/LegendLayer" ], function(PrintTemplate, PrintParameters, PrintTask, SpatialReference, LegendLayer) { var urlToThePrintServer = "https://qbygis.queensbury.net/arcgis/rest/services/Utilities/PrintingTools/GPServer/Export%20Web%20Map%20Task"; //Create map title var mTitle; if (ptitle !== "") { mTitle = "Parcel ID: " + ptitle + " Vicinity Map"; console.log(mTitle); }else { mTitle = "Queensbury Vicinity Map"; } //Get visible layers to add to legend var legitems = getLegLyrs(); //Create Print Template var pt = new PrintTemplate(); //Create Map Legend var ll = new LegendLayer(); ll.layerId = "layer2"; //if include legend not checked show no legend if(leg != true) { ll.subLayerIds = [{}]; }else{ ll.subLayerIds = legitems; } //Set Print Template Options pt.layoutOptions = { titleText: mTitle, //"Title", copyrightText: "Map Produced by Queensbury GIS. Map is for General Reference Purposes Only", scalebarUnit: "Feet", legendLayers: [ll] } pt.format = 'pdf'; pt.layout = 'Letter ANSI A Portrait'; pt.preserveScale = true; //Set Scale Here pt.outScale = Number(scl); console.log(pt.outScale); //var sr = new SpatialReference(2260); //var sr = new SpatialReference(3857); //map.spatialReference); var params = new PrintParameters(); params.map = map; params.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; //new SpatialReference(102100); params.template = pt; var printTask = new PrintTask(urlToThePrintServer); printTask.on("error", function(error) { alert(error.code)}); printTask.on("complete", openprintmap); printTask.execute(params); }); } Any help is greatly appreciated! Jake, Thanks for the link. I may not have been as clear as I could have been with my original post. What we are looking for is a system to notify customers with an automated phone call once we do identify customers we want to contact with our GIS. Thanks, George
