I have a survey which pulls data from an external csv which has the centroids and extents of counties. It has a geopoint linked to the survey and a geoshape in a repeat. I am pulling the coords for the centroid of the selected county to set the initial geopoint, which works, but when I try to concatenate the coords from the extent to set the geoshape, nothing happens. I have verified by setting the calcs to decimal and text questions that everything is populating and I don't see anything wrong with it, but it just doesn't work. I've tried it inside and outside of the repeat. Can someone please tell me what I'm missing here? Survey folder attached. Thanks, cob

Hello, what would be the best approach to restrict public viewers from altering the filter settings in a web map in AGOL? We have a layer going through various approval processes before going public but only some of the features are going to be suitable for public viewing. Having put a filter on the web map I realized that without even being logged in I could remove the filter and see all of the features. This is a live layer linked to a crowd sourced S123 survey. Is there any way to keep it live and still restrict viewer access to filtered features? Thanks, cob

Hey James, has this been implemented yet? Time for another cycle and it would be very helpful. Thanks, cob

In the docs it has a sample that writes the collector, coordinates and accuracy in meters. Also in the list of functions is has @accuracy as a watermark, but it doesn't work for me.

Thank you Luba, got it straightened out. I didn’t realize it took several hours for deleted accounts to become available to reassign. Thanks for your response - cob

Thanks James - is this something that is planned in the future, since it is already an existing field and mentioned repeatedly in the documentation? I'm not sure how to use a geopoint since not all of the images will be taken at the point.

I've been looking at the EXIF and Watermark templates for S123 trying to find a way to validate the location accuracy of attached photos - specifically I want to restrict taking images when the accuracy threshold is above a certain level. I know this can be done for geopoints but the point location is fixed and coming in from the inbox - we want to know how accurate is the photo geotag. I saw that there is an accuracy field in the watermarks but none of the images we have taken in S123 will display anything when using @[accuracy] in the watermark template. Is there something we need to 'turn on' in the survey to capture this information? Neither will it populate for lat or long even though the coordinates show up in the details in windows explorer. Thanks for any info or advice - cob

It’s a sql server 2012 sde database I created with arcmap 10.6.1 because at 2.4 pro can’t create sql 2012 only connect. The tool starts to run normally although at times there is red x on the input parameter until I enter the projection information. There are only about 13K records in this. Do you think it has anything to do with the sql version? Thanks for your response - cob

I've been trying to enable feature binning on a point layer, it hangs at 7% and then fails with 99999 random error. Does this even work at all? Thanks, cob

It does actually work – databases just can’t be created. I finally got it by jockeying around with the users and schema and also had to use connection files instead of connecting directly through the Pro dialog. The problem now is that the layer in AGOL only allows the admin owner to create versions, no matter who is logged in and even though the layer out of portal is shared publicly. We can’t use Portal directly for access because we only have the 5 level 2 users or whatever they are called now. I was hoping any of the AGOL users could use their login to create new versions but apparently that is not the case? Thanks for your response - cob

Thanks Vince, that sounds great but we understand SQL server just enough to get ourselves in trouble. We just wanted to test this branch versioning capability to see if it would help the user experience of creating and editing web layer data in ArcGIS Pro, which they complain is slow and flaky and they’re not wrong. All of our data is in AGOL and if we can get this BV layer on our server it will be ported straight to AGOL as well (we have a collaboration between our server and AGOL org account). I don’t even think I understand the word ‘schema’ in this context. To me when we import a dataset it comes with it’s own ‘schema’ which are the attributes and data types, domains, etc. in that single layer. So why do we need another ‘schema’ for the connection in SQL? Maybe that’s too far off topic, but we only need one user to create (import) the data and share it as branch versioned, then it will be linked from our portal to AGOL which is how it will be accessed. Thanks for your detailed answer - cob
