Another thing to look out for - I have a map and a layout in my project template. In the layout there was a map without layers. I hadn't realized that and was only looking at the map. Drove me crazy!

@AubriKinghorn Thank you! That did it. I think this is a lot more complicated than it needs to be, but at least I have a style that I can save and my cartographers can use.

Right, I get that. I just wanted the label and tick mark to not show up without having to modify the central meridian. The problem is that we make a lot of maps from all over the state. We would have to change this for every project we do. In ArcMap the longitudinal label didn't show up where it crosses the edge of the map. That's what I need. In the end I adjusted the interval, but I suspect that this is just a quick fix for now and it will remain a problem for us. The alternative is to not use a graticule I suppose.

Thank you for your response. The map projection is Alaska Albers, which is standard for the entire state of Alaska, so that's not the problem. I can't believe that there is no way to get rid of that label there. This never happened in ArcMap.

Why would ESRI do this? This is so much more complicated than it was in ArcMap. I just need simple, decimal degree labels and honestly do not have time to figure out tags, and trying to find any mistake/typo in the tags. Why not have an option for custom format for those who need it, but for those who don't just use the check boxes.

I have a pretty complicated dashboard that displays population, demographic, economic and other data for a community that is dependent upon the year and project. What I ended up doing was putting a second ID column in all of my tables that linked the data to the community, year and project. It's in our database as an incremental data type. You may want to consider something like that, although without seeing your table structure I don't know if it would work or not.

We use different layouts to show different data categories from the same project. In ArcMap, we had to make a new map for each data category to get the different layouts and be able to make edits on each one without affecting the others. I was excited when I saw we could make multiple layouts from the same map because I thought each layout would be independent from the others. What a disappointment to find out that I still have to make multiple maps to have independent layouts! Honestly, why would you bother giving us the functionality of multiple layouts if they aren't independent from each other?

Thank you - that would be great if you could open up action support on elements. We have a work around for the source data download, but if it's going to be available soon that would be great too.

I've got a large dataset of fisheries data going back to the 1980s for the entire state of Alaska. The dashboard I set up for it uses a selector to select the data by district, or I can further filter the district data by fishery year. So I'm using a district selector to filter a district list, and then the district list to filter a list of fishery district ID's and available years (District Year List). The user can view and download the entire district dataset or a specified year in the district dataset. There are three different data tables being used, all of which come from our SQL Server database. Unfortunately in the mobile view, there aren't any actions for lists, which in this case defeats the purpose of the dashboard. Has anybody found a work around to use a list to filter another list? I really don't want to redesign our database to make this work.

We have a dashboard set up that filters a list, which in turn allows an end user to download the filtered data from HUB. The problem we are having is that there has been a malfunction in the filtering functionality of HUB. ESRI is working on it, but it's been a couple of weeks now and I was told by the tech support guy that it could take up to 4 months to get the fix released. This is way too long for our purposes since this is our data dissemination method (as a state agency, we are required by state statute to provide data to the public). Since ESRI has let us down, we are looking into other options. One is build an interface in Shiny (R). Has anybody tried using R in conjunction with an AGOL dashboard?

I was on the phone with ESRI yesterday. It does seem that there are several different issues with filtering and not all of them are resolved.

I thought it was a problem with my network! My filters are timing out and generating an error message. I noticed it 3 weeks ago and have been going crazy trying to fix it!
