Questions mentioned in the August RHUG meeting for the geodatabase team: "If we have archive features (the history tables) in ArcMap R&H. Are they migrated, in what form or tables the new contents are stored post migration?" "Will the branch archives be in the *_H tables in the database?"

Thanks Scott. Unfortunately we do not host the 10.4.1 service. It seems reasonable that the 10.4.1 version is closer to 10.5.1 which may be why it works better. But, it does eventually load so we still wonder what EE is doing.

When we add the following service to Event Editor 10.8.1, it takes about 15 minutes to load the application. When we add the same service to Event Editor 10.5.1, the application loads in less than a minute. https://ncnhde.natureserve.org/arcgis/rest/services/NC_Public/Managed_Areas/MapServer Has anyone experienced similar behavior with a map service? Does anyone know what the 10.8.1 app is doing that the 10.5.1 app does not that might cause this behavior?

Good question Colin. NC has a couple of external integrations and there's different ways to integrate depending on requirements. Specifically we integrate with Agile Assets and MS2. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat more offline.

NCDOT Divisions frequently use Go!NC (AGOL) to view and interact with data on a web map, which is easier than learning ArcMap and/or Pro. For resurfacing estimations, the want to click on routes on a web map and have it return the route measures. They are currently stuck using our "hatch" map as a workaround. NCDOT Divisions also find it helpful to have maps for resurfacing contracts which are done 3-5 times a year or more. The maps are currently done mostly by hand and they show sections to be resurfaced with a to/from and based on intersection or milepost description. They want a tool to more seamlessly create these maps.

Do you have or foresee a need for a geocoder for Roads & Highways users? The idea is that the route network is considered the authoritative locationing system within an agency's GIS infrastructure, and without a geocoder, there is not a mechanism to transfer data from other siloed databases onto the route network. Please comment with your thoughts and any functionality you would like to see in addition to: Multiple methods to reference off of including measure, milepost, intersections, stationing, polygon boundaries (i.e. county). Employ temporality Consume over a 1,000 records Consider route dominance for data placement Have a function to fix errors such as out of range or mis-typed route names Esri partners - Do you have any geocoding tools to share with the RHUG community? Thanks Patrick Whiteford for pursing this functionality and creating most of this content.

Andrew - I'd suggest 10.6.1 or 10.7.1. Both will be getting a backpatch with additional bug fixes sometime this month. You're one step closer to Pro with 10.7.1. If it helps, NCDOT is about to jump from 10.5.1 to 10.7.1. Maybe you can look at what's new and/or bug fixes to try and justify the version you should implement: Esri Roads and Highways 10.6 Issues Addressed What's new in Esri Roads and Highways—Roads and Highways Desktop | ArcGIS Desktop Esri Roads and Highways 10.6.1 Issues Addressed Esri Roads and Highways 10.7.1 Issues Addressed ArcGIS Location Referencing 10.7.1 Patch 1

How has your agency implemented, or how is your agency planning to implement Roads & Highways? Please let us know using the following link: https://arcg.is/111fDv This link is a Survey 123 app created by Kansas DOT. The attachment PDF shows all the questions in case answers are needed from multiple people for one organization. This information is helpful for agencies learn from one another and share best practices. Kyle Gonterwitz (Kyle.Gonterwitz@ks.gov) from Kansas DOT added a group to his AGO site called RHUG_Kansas. He can invite RHUG Members to the site so implementation status information can be updated rather than stored in a static word document. Members can update their records, view the tabular results, and export the table and such things. Here is the group link http://ksdot.maps.arcgis.com/home/group.html?id=a5e203e06fd945b4b60ff58bd9d998c4#overview

What types of solutions would make sense for your organization or the DOT community? These could be a solution template in ArcGIS Solutions for State Government that pertain to Roads and Highways, or other applications that will help take LRS data to the next level and help show return on investment.
