Job Specifications: Will produce quality applications created within allocated time determined by management Will have the ability to work independently and bring new ideas and best practices to the agency Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually Minimum Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, GIS, geography or related field with 5+ years of work experience developing applications with ESRI products, in addition to, 5+ years of experience with MS Visual Studio, Oracle 11g, SQL Server, JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3; or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience. Employee will be responsible for design, development and support of GIS applications in a fast paced environment. Employee will assist in design and implementation of GIS architecture, ARCGIS server, map caching and geodatabase. Other duties may be required and assigned. Illustrative Tasks: Responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, and operation and maintenance of the Geographic Information System (GIS); this responsibility includes the entire lifecycle Demonstrate knowledge of geo-processing, mapping, and cartographic procedures, GIS planning and system development Demonstrate knowledge of geodatabase modeling, administration, performance tuning and support Ability to demonstrate strong coding skills in JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3, ArcGIS Server 10.X Services, Google and various API libraries. Responsible for creating GIS applications with ESRI JavaScript API 4.X, CSS and HTML 5 Working knowledge of geo-processing techniques, spatial tools, cartographic elements, GIS planning and system development (knowledge of Python scripting preferred) Interface with non-spatial data using SQL (via stored procedures, ETL, SSIS, SSRS, etc.) Demonstrate the ability to plan, install and maintain SQL server databases Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, effectively towards both technical and non-technical personnel Excellent problem solving skills and willingness to work as a team Strong debugging/problem analysis capabilities required Strong understanding of application performance tuning Working knowledge of cadastral mapping, land records, real estate in general Knowledge of property appraisal CAMA systems preferred Ability to work within Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation server Apply : jobs@bcpa.net
