Using ArcGIS in the Classroom

Blog Post created by enriqueglegaspi on Feb 9, 2016

Since launching ArcGIS this past semester, I have seen tremendous engagement from the students.  They are actively using their mobile devices to make maps and discover new maps.  The students are fascinated with the power of adding layers from files and original map notes...the possibilities for ones curiosity to travel is limitless, and gives each student a unique experience.  With ArcGIS, the students have immediately proved their great capacity to learn the tools, using the ArcGIS Book, the GEOinquiries, and other tutorials have supported the learning curve for all the students.  We are the GEO Huskies of South Central LA, and we LOVE making MAPS!
