Yes, i'm having this issue as well, when creating new records in EB Edit Widget. It only happens with one of my dropdowns (a required field), and is really bugging the users. I was also having issues with editing data on existing records. Not sure, but it's possible that the offending records had some null values also, but there doesn't seem to be a complete correlation here, because other records with (presumably) some null values didn't have problems. Also, just generally, the Edit widget seems to be extremely buggy when trying to edit attributes/geometry for existing records. Almost unusable. It does better on creating new records.

Seems like a real obvious thing, but i can't find any hits for this. I need to republish a webmap that my EB app is consuming. I'm republishing it from ArcPro after making some minor symbology/popup/etc changes. ArcPro apparently won't let me republish to the same name so i have to delete & rename (which of course changes the ID). But now the webmap/data references in my EB app are totally hosed, and i have to re-configure half the EB app in order to point to the republished webmap. This can't possibly be the expected workflow for this common operation. What am i doing wrong here?

Okay, i tried your sample, and yes i see that the basic case is indeed working there. Thanks! Unfortunately my app is quite complex and is also restricted access. It won't be easy to pull out a useful repro case, and i don't really have the budgeted hours available to do that, since i already burned most of the available hours dealing with this and a ton of other 4.12==>4.24 breaking changes. At this point i'm going to have to just stick with 4.12 for now. There's just too many remaining issues to deal with with 4.24. But thanks anyway.

I'm attempting to upgrade a web app from 4.12 to 4.24, and like usual, it seems that every single thing in Javascript API has been changed in a breaking way. But one of the many issues i'm running into is this: The Search widget in Javascript API 4.24 is not firing the "select-result" event for me. It fires all the other events, but not this one. So i can't pan to an address. Here's a minimal code snippet for the search widget: var locatorSearchWidget = new Search({
container: "searchWidgetDiv",
view: mapVw,
searchAllEnabled: false,
popupEnabled: true,
popupOpenOnSelect: true,
resultGraphicEnabled: false
});
locatorSearchWidget.on("select-result", function (event) {
console.log("The selected search result: ", event);
}); I'm not seeing any errors displayed in the console. The Search widget just never calls the event. The network log shows the following correct webservice requests from the Search widget: https://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeocodeServer/suggest?location=%7B%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22wkid%22%3A2926%7D%2C%22x%22%3A1276481.1570000001%2C%22y%22%3A229067.00050000002%7D&maxSuggestions=6&outSR=%7B%22latestWkid%22%3A2926%2C%22wkid%22%3A2926%7D&text=13559%2016t&f=json
https://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeocodeServer/findAddressCandidates?SingleLine=13559%2016th%20Ave%20NE%2C%20Seattle%2C%20WA%2C%2098125%2C%20USA&location=%7B%22spatialReference%22%3A%7B%22wkid%22%3A2926%7D%2C%22x%22%3A1276481.1570000001%2C%22y%22%3A229067.00050000002%7D&magicKey=dHA9MCNsb2M9MTI0NzA2NDUjbG5nPTM0I2ZhPTQ3MTg1OTIjaG49MTM1NTkjbGJzPTEwOTo1MTAyODI2MA%3D%3D&maxLocations=6&outFields=Addr_type%2CMatch_addr%2CStAddr%2CCity&outSR=%7B%22latestWkid%22%3A2926%2C%22wkid%22%3A2926%7D&f=json And they appear to be returning correct json results. But the Search widget apparently just goes off into lala land after the findAddressCandidates response. Is there any obvious thing i'm doing wrong?

The fix for the issue was basically what Undral Batsukh said. However you also have to set the 'sprite' and 'glyphs' paths to fully qualified url's as well (if they're not already). Otherwise all your point layers stop drawing.

I'm loading the vector tile layer from a service url. Then i grab the associated root.json file via $.ajax() and apply it via loadStyle(), after making normal modifications to it (or not). The funky thing is that things were actually working okay for about 30 minutes this morning, and then it suddenly stopped working and i've never been able to get it working since. My admins claim they haven't made any changes to the vector tile service or servers. However, another dev in our office isn't having any problems with his own calling of loadStyle() with a different service. And also my issue happens with 4.4, 4.5, and 4.6. Thus i suspect an issue with my vector tile service instead, especially since the mapper who created the service is inexperienced with vector tile layers. Next week, i'll reboot my dev box, clear my browser caches, and have another go at it and try some different services as well.

I'm passing in the object, because i want to modify it. But the object i'm passing in right now is unmodified. Got it via $.ajax() and ran it through JSON.parse(), and nothing else. I didn't know you could do a URL as well. I just tried the URL variant and it seems to work (though of course the URL variant won't answer my needs). Okay, i'll do some more looking into this. Thanks.

Yep, it's a custom vector tile layer on our portal. It's actually probably publicly visible (for now), but i can't share the URL publicly on the forum.

All of the sudden, this morning i started getting the following error when calling VectorTileLayer.loadStyle() in the Javascript API (Version 4.5). Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'path' of null at r (VectorTileLayer.js:7) at q (VectorTileLayer.js:6) at Object.f.loadMetadata (VectorTileLayer.js:10) at Object.g._getSourceAndStyle (VectorTileLayer.js:52) at Object.g.loadStyle (VectorTileLayer.js:50) at initVectorTyleStyles (COS_MapControl.html:1043) at openLargeMap (COS_MapControl.html:874) at <anonymous>:1:1 The code worked 30 minutes ago, and then suddenly stopped working. I'm pretty sure it's the same code and i don't think anything else has changed. The root.json file that i'm passing it is unchanged. I'm still looking into this, but i'm wondering if something perhaps broke with ESRI's updates last night? I'm hitting against Version 4.5 though, so in theory nothing should have changed there. Javascript API Version 4.5. Happens also on 4.6. Windows 10, both Chrome & Firefox. The offending root.json file is attached. Thank you, Emory H

I'm creating a new webmap in version 4.5, and am setting the initial extent by using the center+zoom properties. Works all nice and good, but then when i later try to get the extent, mapview.extent returns null. Apparently when you use center+zoom, the extent then never gets set? This sounds like a bug to me. I need those extent values for some other calculations. Any idea how to get them or calculate them? Thanks, Emory H
