Thank you Jennifer for reply. I have looked very carefully at the Map topic and I find it doesn't answer my question. My issue has nothing to do with Map or screen resolution. No matter what my screen is I need to get the actual cached scales. Getting DPI value from TiledMapServiceLayer would be enough, but this property is missing too.

Hi, I have an issue while calculating the scale when using cached map services. Let???s compare 2 LODs of different services: Resolution: 1,32291931250529 Scale: 5000 Resolution: 0,423334180001693 Scale: 5000 The trick is DPI. The first has default value of 96 while the second is 300 DPI! So how can I calculate the cached service scales correctly? Btw, LOD in js and flex APIs has a scale property. Why is it still missing in Silverlight?

Why do you need this? Isn't ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.dll enough?

Hi, I'm implementing IContentsView3 and trying to use wpf control for UI. I couln't find Handle property in wpf, so I decided to embed wpf into System.Windows.Forms.UserControl and ElementHost control. The UI looks ok but I encounter strange behavior while using keyboard. I can't type into TextBox but I'm able to paste or delete the text. I've created Windows Forms UserControl for testing and it all works fine with Forms TextBox within it. Is there something special that I should know while using wpf in IContentsView3? I'm using .Net framework 3.5 in my project.

GraphicsLayer code is fine and is has nothing to do with errors you get. This is your server (service) problem.

You can read the manual: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/silverlight/apiref/ESRI.ArcGIS.Client~ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Map.html "Map Scale and Resolution" topic. Then create a nice control and share it with us:)

I've a featureClass with unique index on one custom field. The featureClass is published as a featureService. When I try to create a new feature (adding Graphic to Graphics collection) this operation should fail because of index violation. Actually it DOES fail as no feature is created. But FeatureLayer.SaveEditsFailed is never fired. Instead EndSaveEdits event results with EndEditEventArgs.Success == true. Furthermore, EndEditEventArgs.Results.AddResults[0] returns a fake objectId value - that feature was never created.

Thank you, Dominique. The sample works fine, but not my services. I've tried on: 1. SQL Server 2008 (ArcSDE 9.3.1) 2. SQL Server 2008 Express DB created with ArcGIS 10. Could the DBMS be the reason?

The documentation states: "If object ids are specified, other query parameters like Where are ignored." Here's my code: FeatureLayer edittingLayer; <...> edittingLayer.ObjectIDs = new int[] { 1 }; edittingLayer.Where = "1=1"; edittingLayer.Update(); All features are returned instead of single one.
