Hi, I'm trying to provide functionality in the Smart Editor (WAB) to allow a user to either choose a value from a predefined list or add a new value to the same field. Is this an achievable workflow in WAB? I've look at domains but they can't be added to dynamically. Any help is appreciated. Regards, Elliott

Hi, Is it possible to link the Survey123 Map extent and the Experience builder extent map together? So as use pans and zooms the extents are the same? Also is it possible to link a mouse click from the Experience Builder to the Survey123 map? I've done this we the "Send data to this survey" function, however our survey requires the user to add a new feature when filling out the form. All suggestion are welcome and thanks for your response. Elliott

Hi, When accessing our internal portal through the iOS Survey123 app we are prompted for the username and password to gain access. Conversely when accessing the app via the desktop it uses Activity Directory, also if we access the portal page directly via the iOS phone it uses AD as well. Username and password is not an option for our users, can anyone advise me on what can be done to use the AD authentication for our users when connecting to out internal portal? Thanks for any help. Regards, Elliott

Hi, Is it possible to get a json file from a folder with polyline features through GeoEvent (10.2.2) to a feature service. I've successful done this for point features, but at a loss how this could be done for other feature types; eg polylines and polygons. For points my Input is shown below: The json text for a point features is as follows: [ { "items" : [ {"x" : 114, "y" : -20, "TITLE" : "Ship 1", "SPEED" : 3.0, "COURSE" : 267, "UPDATED_UTC" : 1449479650000}, {"x" : 115, "y" : -20, "TITLE" : "Ship 2", "SPEED" : 2.0, "COURSE" : 203, "UPDATED_UTC" : 1449479650000}, {"x" : 114, "y" : -21, "TITLE" : "Ship 3", "SPEED" : 1.0, "COURSE" : 185, "UPDATED_UTC" : 1449479650000}] } ] Regarding the polyline, I can get the fields in but I'm not successful with the actual feature. I'm unsure how to specify the geometry in the input as well as the in the json file. The json file example below: [ { "items" : {"paths" : [[[114.1,-20.0], [114.2,-20.0], [114.3,-20.0]]], "TITLE" : "Hugin Explorer", "UPDATED_UTC" : 1449479650000 } } ] Any help is appreciated. Thanks Meengla, Identifying the definition in the drop down, initiated the Field tab to click on. Also note that when comparing dates in a filter, I could only get them to work if I converted them to epoch values via a field calculator process before hand. Regards, Elliott

Can anyone suggest how I might go about using a Field instead of a Value when creating a filter in the GeoEvent filter properties dialog? I've successfully added static values to the Value box, however I would like the processor to check dynamically on the current date minus an hour. Any suggestion that would solve my dilemma would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Elliott

I manage to get the following to work with a username an password. If someone knows how to get the current users credentials and pass that instead it would be most helpful. import urllib, urllib2 from ntlm import HTTPNtlmAuthHandler user = 'DOMAIN\user' password = "password" url = "http://<server>/arcgis/rest/services/Test/FeatureServer/0/addFeatures" updateAttr = [{ "geometry" : {"x" : XXX,"y" : XXX},"attributes" : {"COMMENTS" : "WORK"}}] params = urllib.urlencode({'f': 'json', 'features': updateAttr}) passman = urllib2.HTTPPasswordMgrWithDefaultRealm() passman.add_password(None, url, user, password) # create the NTLM authentication handler auth_NTLM = HTTPNtlmAuthHandler.HTTPNtlmAuthHandler(passman) # create and install the opener opener = urllib2.build_opener(auth_NTLM) urllib2.install_opener(opener) url1 = urllib2.Request(updateBaseURL,params) # retrieve the result response = urllib2.urlopen(url1) print(response.read())

Hi, I'm trying to add a feature to a Feature Server using python without any success. When running the script I get the following error HTTPError: HTTP Error 401: Unauthorized. The service only requires windows authentication of a user logged into the network, the service does not require a username or password. How can this be achieved in Python? My code so far is: add = [{ "geometry" : {"x" : 20.8,"y" : -115.5},"attributes" : {"COMMENTS" : "Test"}}] service_url = r"http://<servername>/ags/rest/services/test/testlyr/FeatureServer/" params = urllib.urlencode({'f': 'json', 'features': add}) req = urllib2.Request("{0}/addFeatures/?".format(service_url, params)) response = urllib2.urlopen(req) jsonResult = json.load(response) print jsonResult Regards, Elliott

Thanks for the reply Daniel, Unfortunately 2016 is along way away, and there will be plenty of data captured before then. I'm looking for a solution that could be implemented today. Regards, Elliott

Currently we use a Trimble device in ArcPad that collects an ssf file which we use to post process the data collected. We won't to move away from ArcPad onto the new platforms and retain a higher level of accuracy. I'm just not sure if capturing data through collector on iOS has the potential to be post processed? Regards, Elliott

An example would be collecting offline data through the iOS collector for ArcGIS on my mobile. Once back in the office I would like to increase the accuracy of the data if possible by using some form of post processing software with Rinex site logs. Do you know if this is possible?

The schema output is locked for server geoprocessing tools, it is based on the original schema at the time of publishing. Expect no change for the 10.3. Regards, Elliott
