Is there any more specific info on this? Documentation that you can point to now that we are in March of 2018?

@ Derek Law We are running into an issue with Portal 10.5 and Windows Auth. The token endpoint options are secured, so you get an access denied error when hitting these from code or from the proxy. If I login with my Windows credentials, I can get to the endpoint. The proxy doesn't seem to use credentials when trying to get to the endpoint. https://server.domain.com/aswa/sharing/generateToken <-- This is protected by windows Auth per documentation for setting up IWA Securing web services with Integrated Windows Authentication—ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) Installation Guide (10.6) | ArcG… I've tried several things. In the proxy I've tried both App-Login, as well as User-Login. Below are two snippets from the proxy, take these with a grain of salt, I've tried several variations and the latest code from github. It all seems to boil down to IWA blocking access to the get tokens. <serverUrl url="https://server.domain.com/aswa/rest/services/" clientId="abc123" clientSecret="99999999" matchAll="true"/> <serverUrl url="https://server.domain.com/aswa/rest/services/" tokenServiceUri="https://server.domain.com/aswa/tokens/" username="uname" password="password" matchAll="true" /> This seems like a common configuration scenario. Do we have something mis-configured, or is there a known issue?

When using the API to call back to ArcGIS Server 10.41, geometries are always returned irregardless of the returnGeometry flag. Snippet private getGisDataQuery(field: string, value: string): Query { let query = new Query(); query.returnGeometry = false; query.outFields = ["*"]; query.where = `${field}='${value}'`; return query;} I found this question which may be related? https://community.esri.com/thread/203730-queryparameters-returngeometry-not-honored If so it would mean this is more of a service, or server issue, not necessarily a bug with the API.

Just another note, to those printing through the proxy. I had an issue where my map title had an &, which was causing issues when going through the proxy. Maybe a double encoding issue. Watch for issues with special characters in the GET url when using the print widget through a proxy.

Did you ever get a resolution for this? 3.19 seems to have the same type of issues with destroying and recreating the editor widget.

I've setup a map with both a scene view and a map view. I'm using a proxy, that works for the 2D map view with no issues. Switching to the scene view produces the following error: Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to execute 'texImage2D' on 'WebGLRenderingContext': the cross-origin image at : https:\\<serverurl> javascript - Three.js and loading a cross-domain image - Stack Overflow Looks like a possible bug with the way the ESRI JS API requests the image? Anyone else having this issue?

The ArcGIS Server Resource proxy must be used when connecting to ArcGIS Server if you authenticate users through an OpenId/OAuth provider. (App Login, per the first reference link) The proxy user ends up being the user that is reported if using Editor Tracking. Ideally, it would be nice if the authenticated app user, not the ArcGIS Server user could be used with editor tracking. Apparently, Workflow Manager already has a similar concept. Another idea might be to enable the usage of an alternative tag on the editor tracking user, such as the current concept of "realms". Instead of user@server or user@desktop, perhaps serverUser@realUser could be passed through the proxy?
