I am also facing a similar issue with my Azure Vm hosting 10.6. I applied all the same rules and configuration to IIS/ARR and AGS as previous environments that worked for 10.5.1 but can't get the streamservice to subscribe with 10.6. Would you be able to elaborate on the rules that Nikhil applied in their environment to get things working? Thanks, David

Thanks Derek. I did get it working. You're correct it was not a certificate issue. It was a CORS issue I ran into. My Add item page was using non SSL(HTTP) but the custom widget URL was HTTPS. Once I made sure everyone was communicating via SSL it worked.

Hi Derek, I was trying to test this functionality and am having issues. When I try to upload the application extension in portal I get this error Unable to load https://xxx.xxx.xxx/CustomWidgets/DemoWidget/manifest.json status: 0 I'm noticing that the documentation says that "your server should have a valid SSL certificate issued by a certificate authority to establish the HTTPS connection". My Dev VM is self signed so could this be the reason? Is there anyway around this? Most people don't have valid certificates in their dev environments. Thanks, David

I don't have such a file in the project. There's a webmap.js file but no webmap.qml. Are we talking about the same code base? I'm referring to this mapviewer https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=0faea839dea644e688da36bccae87aa8

Thanks Paul. I came across someone else talking about ZoomButtons in another thread but when I search for the object in the code it comes up with no matches. Have you used this object before?

I'm using app studio and I would like to add the buttons to the map for GPS/zoomin/zoom out (see attachment). The screen shot was taken from an app built using the mapveiwer template. I've been scanning the code for that template but I don't see any particular lines that would be inserting these buttons. Is this built into the map api? Anyone have any idea? Thanks, David

Thanks for the response RJ. I was hoping for an easier solution than a custom processor. I'll have to rethink my approach. Cheers, David

Hi There, I have a sqlserver enterprise geodatabase. When I create a table or featureclass using arcpy, I use camel case syntax for the name. ArcGIS displays the name as I entered it but when I view the dataset through sqlserver management studio I'm noticing the table name is in all uppercase. When I look at the items table it shows that the 'physicalname' of the table is different than the 'name' of the table. I'm assuming ArcGIS knows to display the table as that name alias. Is there a wayto change this default behaviour and have the physical table match the case of the name used in ArcGIS? Thanks, David

Just an update. It wasn’t so much a bug but a setting that should probably be set to true by default. When adding your webmap to your application there is an option (added in jsapi 3.10) called usePopupManager. If set to true it will resolve the issue, the default value of this option is false. see the api documentation for more detail https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jsapi/esri.arcgis.utils-amd.html var createMapOptions = { mapOptions: { slider: true }, usePopupManager: true, // since version 3.10 bingMapsKey: bingMapsKey, geometryServiceURL: "http://sampleserver3.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Geometry/GeometryServer" }; var webMapItemID = "c41d5f3b4e304806a047702fbfc2759e"; deferred = arcgisUtils.createMap(webMapItemID, "ui-map", createMapOptions); I've also advised the WAB beta team to consider updating this in WAB

I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem. I have a webmap that contains a dynamic map service. All the layers in the service have popups enabled in the webmap. Some layers have their visibility turned on by default in the webmap and others are turned off. In the AGOL map viewer everything seems to work fine, however if I publish the webmap as an application or use it in a simple JSAPI application the popups only work for layers that have their visibility turned on by default in the webmap. It seems to me theres an api bug here, but I'm struggling to find a workaround. Any help would be great webmap http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=488207cb49e045d5910a6496c1a0b26c this WAB displays the symptoms, but note this is not an isolated WAB issue as I can replicate this in any code I use the web map in WAB application ArcGIS Web Application Thanks, David

Hi Forum, I'd like to be able to retrieve the descriptive keywords associated with a geoportal record through its rest api. Basically when I perform this query http://<server>/geoportal/rest/find/document?searchText=forest, I would like the keywords to be returned along with the title, uid, summary, bbox, etc. What configurations do I need to change in geoportal to achieve this? Thanks, David

Hi There, Is there a way to configure a webmap so that it doesn't use an maxAllowableOffset parameter as part of it's querytask when a user clicks on the map to enable a feature popup? I guess I'm looking for a configuration or override that will work. Hacks are welcomed if anyone has figured out a way around this. I'm trying to use the Highlighted feature as a source for a buffering tool but have realized that the geometry associated with the selected feature is generalized. I'm get the graphic through the infoWindow like so var graphic = this.map.infoWindow.getSelectedFeature(); Thanks, David
