As recommended by ESRI I post my original Question as an Idea to improove the draw widget in ExB: Draw Widget: change style of finished drawings - Esri Community When polygons or lines are drawn using the "Draw Widget" in Experience Builder: it is not possible to change coloures or style once drawing is finished. It is only possible to choose styles before drawing something, not after the drawing is finished. Selected drawings can only be doublicated, deleted or change shapes, but not change styles like colours. So to change colour we have to set style and redraw everything again, which is not very user friendly. Usually changes in Styles happen after something is drawn, to adjust its look with the map, or in my case 3D scenes. So please make this work for the ExB-Draw Widget to make it more user friendly and usable!

We set up an instant App (3D-Viewer) with an global 3D-WebScene and implemented the shadow cast analysis widget, the one which can show shadow duration over time very nicely. (ShadowCast | API Reference ) However, if we start the App the shadow cast analysis is always activ by default, so the red shadow results can be seen at startup without even activating the tool. This is quite confusing for users starting the app and not knowing/wanting the shading in the beginning. Please fix this, so the shadow cast analysis is only activ while using the widget. (Or am I missing something?)

Problem has been resolved: BUG-000154645 "This issue is stemmed from sanitizing the web map JSON on save. Saved maps that show this issue have bad JSON saved. After the next Map Viewer update, regenerate the unique value style on the layer and re-save the map to see the fix."

Thanks to share your Workarround to force TerrainShadows using transparent multipatch fishnet, which can be usefull for small projects or corse Terrain I guess. But still a workaround with downsides, its correct that we would like to see the Terrain/Elevation Layers to cast shadows similar to multipatch...

Thanks for the hint @Pål_Herman_Sund ! Well - Terrain is now better shaded respecting the Daylight settings, but still does not cast (hard) shadows like Buildings. Only the surface is darker shaded depending on slope and sun position. This valley remains in direct sunlight, altough the shadow of the hill should be visible on the lower Building and opposite hillside. The two Buildings on top of the hill cast their lonely shadows to the opposite hillside, but without the shadow of the terrain it looks awkward... and the Building in the valley still seems to be in the sun which fools solar analysis. Esri ist on the right way, but not there, yet ...

We use classified 3D-Scenelayer data to visualize for example water/floods in 3d webscenes on ArcGisOnline, e.g. here. Doing so we classified data by text attributes and choose symbolisation for the classes in 3D-style editor, which worked fine until now (Jan2023). The text attributes are used in Legend and Popups as well. However, now all attribute-values including less-than (<) and greater-than (>) signs are not shown correctly in webscenes anymore, and also are not recognized correctly in Webscenes 3d-style editor: If we edit the values in the style-editor again, it workes for the session, but once the webscene is saved and reloaded the problem appears again. We are quite puzzled now about that effect, but still want to use this usefull symbols for classification and Legend/Popups. Hopefully ESRI can fix this new bug quickly, otherwise any workarrounds would be helpfull.

I just tested the weather widget in instant apps and it works nicely so far - we waited for this One issue is confusing: by default it always starts using "foggy" environment, no matter what is choosen during app configuration (first time I was wondering were the "white overlay" came from). Please either set start up to "sunny" by default or make it possible to save weather settings during app configuration! Or do I miss something?

Yes, same here: we miss sun shadows from terrain in deep valleys, too, both in Arcgis Online Webscenes and Arcgis-Pro!

Hi, if we add feature layers to our scenes, e.g. to extrude 2d polygons for planing purposes, its possible to set elevation mode either to ground, relative to ground or scene or to absolute height, including fixed offsets. Problem is, using ground/scene as base elevation the extruded Features follow the terrain, which is not nice with Buildings. Using absolute elevation mode requires 3d-features, which is more laborious to create, not even possible directly in AGO as far as i know. So what we miss is just an option to set base Elevation to an attribute field! E.g. if we could choose an attribute field as an offset in the absolute elevation mode would do the trick...

Another down side using 2d map environment to configure pop ups: it is save to the feature layer, so only one pop up configuration is possible to pass through 3d scenes this way! If we need different pop ups from the same data source, we have to duplicate data, which dosnt make sense. It would be much more comfortable to be able to configure and save Pop ups within the 3D Scene!

Well, I tested the Workflow and benefits of publishing Scene Layers from associated Feature Layers. Good things first: Workflow is more streamline to update or edit associated features and just rebuild cache. Its also possible to configure Pop-Ups of the associated feature Layer in 2d map, which are passed trough to 3D-Scenes (for now scene layers without associated features Layers show all attributes and are not configurable, yet). And its possible to use features for Search-Widgets. Downsides are: - online caching consumes credits: 1 credit per 1000/5000 multipatch feature, which is a lot for a city with 150.000 buildings, 1mio. trees and other things. However, it might be worth to invest... - feature storage consumes much more credits then slpk-pakages. Multipatch buildings need a lot more storage space the usual 2d-features, so we would end up to spend about 400 times more credit points if we would store same data as multipatch features instead of scene layer packages. This is a no go! - Pop up configuration needs to be saved to the feature Layer after set up in 2d map in order to be used in scenes, so only one configuration per layer is possible. If we need different pop up configuration for different scenes, we need to duplicate the feature Layer, which dosnt make sense (a view would be nice to have or configuration of Pop ups directly in 3d scenes, preferably using scene layer attributes directly instead off associated features). For now, the benefits do not justify spending so much more credits! (espacially the feature storage of multipatch data) @Esri: please correct me, if Im wrong...
