Thank you for your response Marcelo. I'm not sure I described our issue very well (it's been a long week!), so here is some additional info and an example. We have roles already setup on our versioned gdb. These roles control the permissions given to each user (as you described above). We have several child versions of the parent gdb that all users can at least see, but may not be able to edit, for example, depending on the permissions applied to their role. EXAMPLE: DB Connection1 - shows all available feature classes (Trees, Rocks, Lakes) - all users can see/read, but only users with DB1 role can edit, etc. DB Connection2 - shows only Sand, Grassland, Wetlands- all users can see/read only users with DB2 role can edit, etc. I can see several feature classes in the data owner view of the SDE that are not displayed in either of the above connections (Streams, Clouds). I would like to make these at least visible and readable in both connections. To return to my example, once I make these two FCs visible/editable, users will see the following: DB Connection1 - Trees, Rocks, Lakes, Clouds, Streams. DB Connection2 - Sand, Wetlands, Clouds, Streams. Can I do this from the data owner account and how? -OR- is this an admin/gdb admin function? I suspect that I may need to add the 'new' FCs to the applicable roles to make them visible/usable?

I was recently given access to the data owner account to assist with versioned gdb maintenance. We need to make several feature classes that are shown in the data owner account visible to (and editable) the different child versions of the gdb for use. What is the procedure for making the 'new' feature classes visible to the different .sde views so that our users can edit them?

Hi All: I am helping to administer an organizational Portal that utilizes a SAML/Azure-based network credential login (Enterprise login) for our users (users are able to log into the Portal using the same credentials that they use to log into our computer network). We've been having issues with that login for a while and I'd like to setup an alternate ArcGIS/AGOL login for times when it is not working. The previous admin had setup an alternate login for specific users (they are using some specialized 3rd party apps that apparently do not work as well with an Enterprise login). I cannot figure out how to setup this alternate type of login for other users. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi all: Tyring to pull in some new aerial imagery (.sid file) into my map documents, but ArcMap (10.0) keeps returning the following error message: “Invalid raster dataset. Failed to create raster layer. Could not add the specified data object to the map. Failed to open raster dataset.” I have the .sid file, an .aux file, an .xml file, and a .sdw file. could there be a missing associated file? A corrupt .aux or other file? Others who have tried using this SID have not had any issues. Thanks!

Hi all: I've been using domains for a while, mostly with text field types. I'm currently setting up a geodatabase to do some parcel-level analysis and ranking. I'd like to utilize several domains to add dropdown lists containing 2 or more integers, and I'd like to add these integers toegther at the end to produce a score for each parcel. I'm having some difficulty with fitting some of my ranking criteria into the domain regime, if you will. I'd like some of the domains to include a dropdown list of, for example 0, 5, 10, 15, 20 and then add the chosen number into a parcel ranking score. Is this possible to do with a field type set as a numeric type? If not, will a field type set to text be added into the field calculator sum (I'm guessing not)? Thanks!

Hi all: I have a dataset that contains multiple facilities, misc data, and their x,y coordinates in UTM. I have added new records and modified some existing records in the shapefile's attribute table. However, these new/modified records do not display once I stop and save the edit session. Also, I have a subset of the dataset described above, created via selection by attribute and exported into a new shapefile that does not update either when I recreate the new shapefile after modifying the attribute table. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks
