I'm going to reply to myself and say that I found the issue! In the text box pane, I was choosing the "Selected Features" option. I assumed that this meant that selected == filtered, which is not the case. I changed the checkbox to "Default" and it worked. To have another section with another view doing the same thing for different queries, do I have to upload the data again? I'm having trouble ensuring that the queries result in different views.

I'm getting close to figuring this out... From your incredibly helpful advice, I have 2 filters (for one company) that pass their queries to a table that shows selected values. These widgets live in a view. But I'm still struggling with getting the text box to show the dynamic values that I want. It seems like the settings I've chosen would work... but I can't figure it out! I must be missing something related to views...

That's amazing! You really went above and beyond. How do you create a view, though? The big issue I kept running into was being unable to get text boxes to show data from JUST 1 filter set if that makes sense.

I'm trying to see if a project idea is feasible by using Dashboards or Experience Builder. I have a spreadsheet (that can be a database) containing different construction projects. The dataset looks like: Company Area Metric Value ABC Co CA 4 F Corp CA 2 Momcorp NY 8 F Corp CA 7 Momcorp NY 1 What I'd like to do: build several dropdowns allowing a user to select: Company 1 (say, ABC Co) Company 2 (say, F Corp) An area (say, CA) And return an average of the metrics for Company 1 and Company 2 in the selected area. At this point, I just want to see if this is possible / feasible using AGO tools. Thanks a ton for your help!

Edit: choosing 'sde' as the user name under 'connection properties' has allowed me to create feature datasets and add feature classes. Maybe the problem was that I created a feature dataset as the default superuser 'postgres' and tried to add feature classes to that? I saw a question similar to this but it was for SQL server. I'm a postgres novice trying to move data into a geodatabase within postgres. I was able to create a gdb in postgres on my local machine but when I try to transfer data from a network drive to the gdb I get the error message in the title of this post. What I've tried: - ensuring that I'm connected as postgres (superuser generic name) - elevating privileges for user 'sde' - in pgadmin4, entered: - "grant usage on schema public to sde;" - "grant usage on schema sde to sde;" It seems that I have to use the sde login to load in data... do I have this right? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the response. Should I replace the entire "old block" in the widget code with the 2 lines above - remove the entire if/else conditional? Or change the code in the else block?

I'm having the same issue. (Robert, you may remember me from elsewhere; I though I'd take a crack at customizing the Identify widget which works amazingly). The point select options works perfectly if "Return Geometry for Zoom" is true. But this makes Identifying other layers slow, as all geometries must be returned. Is it possible that the info returned from the point selection option MUST include its geometry, the way that it is programmed? I'm thinking that removing the geometry return makes the selection fail but only for point selections. Maybe I could return geometry for the point only as a semi-workaround. Thanks!

Robert, you know more about WAB than anyone else I've ever met, so I'll call this "an error that exists between chair and keyboard" unless I find out otherwise. Thanks!

Here's a related question. I downloaded an app (as a .zip) that has a custom widget and a fair amount of custom code. Everything looks good with one exception. We customized the Splash screen to center the "OK" button by changing the code in server > (app number) > widgets > Splash > css > style.css. However, I had to add the code that centers the button to style.css (in the same relative location) on my local machine/instance of WAB. I'm at a loss to explain this. My only idea is that WAB cloned the stemapp and used its default files for some things (like the Splash css). In this case, WAB copied the Splash content from stemapp but not the customization. Plausible? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello All, I'm trying to share some of the responsibilities of developing a web app with other people in my organization. I shared an app (as a zipped folder) with an analyst who customized a splash screen. I'd like to update my local version of the app with their customized splash screen. Since I've made a few changes to the app in the intervening time I'd like to "merge" those changes with my app. How can I do this? I thought that I might be able to copy the "customized" splash screen widget to my working app directory but no luck - changing that widget's config.json didn't work either. Does anyone know where the custom info for the Splash widget is stored, or if it is even possible to use the workflow I've described above? Thanks!
