Hi all, I'm working within a corporate environment that is using ArcGIS Server (v10.2.2). I am a newbie trying to work with ArcGIS API for Javascript (v3.9) to create custom map applications. I can't seem to get a basic map up and running. For example, when I write this code: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no"> <title></title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="MYDOMAINHERE.COM/3.11/esri/css/esri.css"> <style> html, body, #map { height: 100%; width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; } </style> <script src="http://MYDOMAINHERE.COM/3.9compact"></script> <script> var map; require(["esri/map", "esri/layers/ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer", "dojo/domReady!"], function(Map, Tiled) { map = new Map("map"); var tiled = new Tiled("MYDOMAINHERE.COM/arcgis/rest/services/BaseMaps/OURCONTENT"); map.addLayer(tiled); } ); </script> </head> <body> <div id="map"></div> </body> </html> I get the basemap map tiles all disjointed like so (re-created in Photoshop for illustration purposes😞 Is it possible that the coordinates are wrong? Our server is using ArcGIS with 4326(WGS84). Again, I am an extreme newbie, so I am not sure I am using the correct language here. Thanks for any tips and advice on how to troubleshoot this.

I've seen that, but it doesn't look like it accepts the ArcGIS.com webmap ID (only basemaps).

Hi all,
Is it possible to create a web app using leaflet and a webmap from ArcGIS online?
Here's my dream:
Let customer update his/her map using Portal for ArcGIS (webmaps) while I work on the design/layout of the map template/wrapper using Leaflet.
If that is not possible, then my other option would be to learn how to use leaflet and the ArcGIS API for Javascript.
Do I understand this correctly? Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm new to ArcGIS,com and ArcGIS online web maps. I can easily make a web map using the Portal for ArcGIS, but I want more design control and have done quite a bit of reading....but still confused. Some quick questions: 1.) The web map that is created on the Portal for ArcGIS contains a legend that gets in the way with my custom template design. Can I somehow "turn off" that legend and build my own? Would downloading the application boilerplate (Esri/application-boilerplate-js · GitHub) allow me to do what I want? 2.) I'd like to add a custom header to my templates (e.g. add agency logo to header). Would the boilerplate allow me to do this? I am knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am working in a corporate environment with no access to the public internet. Is the boilerplate even needed? Is there a better way to create custom web maps? Thanks for any clarification.

Hello all, I work in a secure environment (no access to internet) that has ArcGIS for Server and we have Portal for ArcGIS. I have a customer create a web map and then I am trying to bring his web map into my custom HTML template using the ArcGIS API for Javascript using his web map ID (as shown in this example on the ArcGIS documentation page). But...I just can't seem to get the map to show. The only thing that seems to work is a basemap, but none of the webmap layers show. How do I get the web map to show? How do I get the data layers from the webmap to show over the basemap? I have ensured his web map is open to everyone (not private) and I am pretty sure I captured the ID correctly. webmap.itemData = { "operationalLayers": [{ "url": "WHAT GOES HERE?", "visibility": true, "opacity": 0.75, "title": "Soil Survey Map", "itemId": "his_webmap_ID" }], "baseMap": { "baseMapLayers": [{ "opacity": 1, "visibility": true, "url": "why_do_we_need_a_basemap_here_if_the_webmap_already_contains_one?" },{ "isReference": true, "opacity": 1, "visibility": true, "url": "what_goes_here?" }], "title": "Title here" }, "version": "1.1" };

HI all, Extreme noob here...but been tasked with putting together a quick map for a customer. I am using Portal for ArcGIS and have exported the map using the SHARE button and copying the iframe code that is provided for displaying on a web page. I am trying to use Bootstrap Map JS but can't figure out where to put the iframe code. Is it possible to use the iframe map code in conjunction with the Bootstrap Map JS?
