Hi everyone below is a link to a web mapping application called CATCH Online! This tool checks CAD data for errors and prepares it to load directly into the parcel fabric. The only thing needed is to set up your CAD files with the proper layer/level names and make sure your lines are individual line segments. The tool does the rest. See the link to the web mapping application and the how-to guide. http://countyofriverside.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=485352d7b8c143e7b9de92d111678c25 Link to how to use CATCH Online Check it out. Thanks, Dave McMillan County Surveyor Riverside County, Ca

Hi Xander, My dashboards are defined using arcgis online web app, and they are hosted on our enterprise system with the County of Riverside. Last time I checked them was April 12th. I did not contact esri support yet.

We standardized the work flow and set some standards for CAD layering and I created the python script to check the CAD files based on the 6 topology rules and other criteria for the parcel fabric.

Please see the link below. This is how the County of Riverside is handling CAD files and standards for migrating data into the parcel fabric. See section 8.4 http://rctlma.org/Portals/7/documents/Map%20Prep%20Manual/8-Map%20Checking%20Procedures.pdf I will also be presenting this tool at the Esri Conference down in San Diego this year. Our tool is called CATCH (County Automated Terrestrial CAD Helper) automation tool. My Masters Thesis is below. "Creating an Automation Tool for Checking Data Integrity of CAD Files" by David L. McMillan Thanks, Dave

Operations Dashboard Question BUG: I have a web map with two feature layers that are a "hosted view", this map is for public consumption showing construction closures (see link below to the web map) PUBLIC MAP http://countyofriverside.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=9f3f59e887c342d18fe3034735dc08e6 I have a second web map that has the feature layers and they are editable and are used in an internal group not the general public. Both maps have filters on the feature layers that only show roads that are closed. Both web maps work as expected and only roads that are closed show up. Now I am taking the PUBLIC web map and creating a multi display operational view and a single display operational view to embed this into our website using operations dashboard (See link below) Operations Dashboard When I view the maps opening operations dashboard both views show me only closed roads, when I share a link to the view and open the same map again in a web browser all roads show up, even though I created a filter? I tried creating filters in operations dashboard, but was only successful getting the open roads to not show in the widgets, they still show up on the map. Any thoughts or is this a BUG in the software. Thanks, Dave McMillan

I am loading some poly-lines from a CAD file into ArcMap version 10.3 and am trying to test the "Must Be Single Part (Line)" topology rule. I first added the CAD file to arcmap, next I did a feature to feature class conversion of the polyline. Next I loaded this into my topology, and added the rule from above. I validated and checked for any errors and none showed up. I looked at the error description and mimicked the rule with the errors. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Thanks, Dave

I am using the parcel fabric and loading CAD data into a staging topology to check for errors as compared to the 6 topology rules. Attached is example of error # 6 "Boundary Must Be Covered By (Polygon-Polyline)" I am using a CAD drawing with a polygon and a polyline (See screen shot) and am running a geoprocessing script that creates a polyline feature class and a polygon feature class, then creates a topology and loads the respective polyline and polygon feature classes into the topology. I validate the topology and I come up with "Must Not Intersect Or Touch Interior (Polyline)" line errors and "Must Not Intersect Or Touch Interior (Polyline)" point errors (See attached). I am not getting what I was expecting to find and that was error #6. 1.“Must Not Self-Overlap (Polyline)” 2."Must Not Self-Intersect (Polyline)" 3. "Must Be Single Part (Polyline)" 4."Must Not Intersect Or Touch Interior (Polyline)" 5."Must Be Covered By Boundary Of (Polyline-Polygon)" 6."Boundary Must Be Covered By (Polygon-Polyline)" any thoughts on how I could trigger this error to happen. I ran it conventionally through arcmap and not the script that I created and I came up the slightly different results for the line errors though. I appreciate the feedback Thanks, Dave
