I guess it is too big to upload on this forum. I will take a look at the Javascript code you linked to. Thanks!

I have a series of datasets that I would like to "attach" to a slider bar to scroll through them. They are flood inundation rasters at different flood elevations. I thought it would be cool to enable the user to slide a bar back and forth and move the flood level display up and down. Does anyone know how to do this type of thing. I haven't been able to add "fake" time data to my rasters as of yet to use the time slider, I was hoping there was another option. Attached is a GIF I created, this is what I am trying to mimic with a slider bar. Thanks Darryl

Can you tell us what you mean by having your fields empty? Does this mean for all records the value is NULL? or something else?

Great!, thanks Neill, look forward from hearing a solution. Right now I have prefixed my names with: A. - Map Description 1 B. - Map Description 2 etc in order to get them ordered the way I want. Not the most ideal. Darryl

I believe this is where you would want to do a spatial join!

Is it possible to have a custom sort on the featured content group. I would like this to be sorted in a particular order, not by date, title, etc. I have tried to sort the group itself, but it only allows me to sort based on predefined metadata. Thanks Darryl

Attached is a screen shot of the pop up in 1. ArcGIS online and 2. App Studio player. It appears in App Studo, just not with the configuration we have set up in ArcGIS online. i.e URL links/Alias's and limited attribute.

I have created a Map Viewer App from one of my maps which has custom pop-ups configured in the feature identify. This doesn't seem to be respected within the App Studio Player. Any ideas?

Hello, I am trying to use my existing municipal drainage system (pipes, outlets, inlets, catchbasins, etc) and incorporate them in my drainage processing using ArcHydro. How can I incorporate these features in my analysis to reflect the man-made water flow changes? At what point of the analysis do I plug them in? I was thinking about using the Burn Stream Slope into DEM tool and using the pipes as the input streams, but I don't know if this will accomplish what I am wanting! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Running ArcGIS 10.0, Python 2.6, ArcHydro 2.0 Thanks Darryl Klassen

You could cursor through each of the geometries of the 2 features you are interested in and get the X,Y coordinates of each of the vertex's in both features. Then using some basic TRIG - get the distance between each vertex in both datasets. This link shows how to read XY coordinates of polylines and polygons using Arcpy: http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//002z0000001t000000

This might not be the most elegant way of doing it, but if you totally want to avoid the AddField route to solve the issue, you can (in ArcMap) do a join on the 2 feature classes on any 2 fields (of similar type) and then export the feature class. This will give you all the fields of both feature classes in the newly exported feature class.

Just a further note to this - you can run the NET USE command from within Python. import os os.system("net use y: \\path\\to\\folder") In case you don't want to do it in DOS before running the PY script. Darryl
