Our application would involve using the embed template to be able to something like this: http://myserver.com/app/embed/index.html?webmap=c4ky5kzzwmgjq27z46kmzq1ky4q0omdttx7&home=true&zoom=true&scale=true&maponly=true&basemap_gallery=true&disable_scroll=true&theme=light&filter=100%20Main%20St The intent would be to place the embed template on a webpage displaying features matching the filter and extent set to that filter.

From other posts I understand that tables may not be directly supported in the cascade story map template, but I would like to vote for some manner of incorporating them directly. For a workaround, I will be using an image of an HTML table, but lose responsiveness and styling capabilities with this approach. An example of the current limitation is below showing a small table with a header and two rows with data. The table is on a html page and inserted via an iframe so we can style the contents. The highlighted blue area is extra space in the div with block-media class applied. For content whose height is smaller than the minimum height of this class, empty space is left and I don't see a straightforward way to remove it. Thanks, Tim

Thanks, that solved my problem. Any idea if that is true of other templates? We've deployed the compare template inside an apps folder and it ran ok, but this one threw me for a loop.

I created and configured simple Map Series story in ArcGIS online with a single map. Downloaded the Map Series template and uploaded to a web server. Portal is not installed on this server. Note - we these templates provide access private web services through a proxy. I followed the four steps for configuring template, including configured index.html with the app ID, as are described on GitHub. When the application loads, it hangs with a 404 at a reference http://myserver.com/sharing/rest/portals/self?culture=en-us&f=json. This directory exists on ArcGIS online, but not on my server. I just wanted to verify that portal is not required to be installed to run the app and also ask if I need to make any configuration changes to config.js for this most basic deployment to work. Thanks for any suggestions. Tim
