I'm administering an ArcGIS Server 10.3 system which is located in a client hosting facility with rather strict security. One restriction is that no browser can be opened inside the enclave. As one can imagine this makes making changes in AGS a bit of a challenge. Now I've hit a wall when it comes to SoE extensions. Is there any way to install an SoE extension without access to a browser?

The wonky thing is that the 'auth' part of the URL is where our authentication happens (SiteMinder). Anything that goes on the web-server has to be inside that folder or content will be unsecured. After installing the web adaptor I had to copy it inside the 'auth' folder, convert it to an application, modify the configs, and delete the original 'arcgis' folder. Unfortunately the web adaptor installer will only allow installation inside the root of IIS (a bug?) and our infrastructure won't allow that.

We are currently hosting a number of map services via AGS 10.3. Our public server has a simple setup: http://pubserver.com/arcgis/rest/services Everything for the above server works 100% however our secure server introduces some complexity. It's setup is as follows: https://secserver.com/auth/arcgis/rest/services I can drop that URL in my browser, be authenticated (via smart card), and bring up the resulting page just fine. When I click on a sub-folder the problems start. Doing so truncates the URL my browser looks for: https://secserver.com/arcgis/rest/services Obviously this results in a server error since the page doesn't exist. Is there a way to not have AGS truncate the URL?

I've got two machines, one AGS box and one web server. AGS 10.3 has been installed and has services running ready for consumption. On the AGS machine I can hit http://localhost:6080/arcgis/rest/services and see everything. On the Web machine I get the following error when configuring the Web Adaptor. I tried using the URLs: http://agsserver:6080 http://agsserver.domain.com:6080/ After this I tested hitting the REST endpoint from the Web machine. Hitting the URL http://agsserver:6080/arcgis/rest/services I get this: I've used PortQuiz on both servers and can get out over port 6080 so I don't think this is a firewall issue. Both servers are running 2008 R2 and are in the same domain. SSL is not being used in this case since these are publicly available servers (as per the client). Any ideas?

If I collect some GPS data (utilizing GPScorrect) then I can still deferentially correct the data a few days later usung GPS Analyst in Arc 10. Now can I still run that same process a week later, or a month later? Basically how far back in time can GPS Analyst reach? I ask since someone from my office may go on a site visit to collect GPS data, and not come back to the office and have access to GPS Analyst for a few weeks. On a side note if I go out and collect some data on Monday, then go back out on Tuesday and collect some more data, will my GPScorrect.ssf file be overwritten with the Tuesday data?

How would I incorporate this command into an existing .apl? I've taken my target shapefile and added a "PDOP" field. So I just got ArcPad 10 up and running on our new GeoXT here at work. To test it out I created a folder called "\My Document\Collection" and dropped some shapefiles in there. Then I went into the options and changed all the data paths to match. Problem is, when I go to add data I cannot navigate to my "Collection" folder. I can browse to it in the file explorer with no problem but as far as ArcPad is concerned that folder doesn't even exist. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

I'm trying to differentially correct some GPS data for a co-worker but am running into some issues. I have a shapefile and GPScorrect.ssf file she collected. When creating a geodatabase to do the correction in I have to set up a transformation since the shapefile is projected in NAD_1983_StatePlane_Maryland_FIPS_1900_Feet. Eventually the shapefile and .ssf file import correctly, but when I go through the motions to do the actualy correction I run into a road block. When I get to the section to select a base provider it comes up blank and won't search for a new base station. Any ideas?
