Thanks for following through on the solution. I made the exact same 'mistake' trying to stand up a Trace Network in PRO 3.1.

Is there anyway to install PRO with the 'Enable Undo toggled on by default' checked. By default the check box is unchecked. The check box is in Settings -> Options -> Application -> Geoprocessing. We deploy PRO to users with a larger install package which includes 'hacking' some Registry settings. Is it possible to change the 'Enable Undo toggled on by default' to checked in the Registry? If yes, what is the setting name and value? I'm open to other ideas to automate this task.

I'm trying to recreate an old ArcObjects add-in that used the deprecated FlexGrid control. The PRO SDK ESRI example used a DataGrid to achieve a similar experience. While doing some research I noticed that the DataGridView was presented as a newer/better solution to the DataGrid. However, it seems that the DataGridView is a Windows Forms control and not available for inclusion into a dockpane like the DataGrid WPF control. I was hopeful someone could confirm / reject this conclusion.

I have a FGDB version on the network and locally, they both behave fine. The network version is not on the same server as SQL Server. I'll need to coordinate with our DB admin to watch the server while drawing the feature class. We are running SQL Server version 12. I should add, size on disk is a concern for the DB admin - it's a secondary issue for me. Rebuilding the spatial index didn't help. I have done a few things to the feature class to drive down size; tolerance and resolution were altered. I ran an identity (and a multi to single part operation) to tile out the features so the spatial index could perform better. The contours are for visualization. Simplify failed with an error of 'out of memory'. Generalize causes overlapping contours, the interval is 2ft and some of the contours are less then a foot apart.

Regarding performance, it comes down simple things like draw time or just opening the attribute table. The FGDB version renders the entire feature class in a minute. The SDE version takes so long I have to kill the application. It's so unmanageable I can't test other performance metrics.

I only care about performance. I only bring up disk space because the bloated size and poor performance appear correlated.

I have a contour feature class that takes up 2 GB in a File GDB. When I move it to SDE the disk space quadrupled. This is a SQL Server instance of SDE. I've tried a number of different methods. I have the same problem regardless if I use ArcGIS 10.5.1 or PRO. I've tried SQL spatial and ESRI binary types for the destination feature class. To move the data I've tried; Load Features, Append, Copy Features, and an old fashion copy/paste. I keep getting the same result, a huge 'file' that takes forever to render. I can move the data between File GDBs with no problem. Any ideas?

Just updated to 2.2.4 and the Python Package Manger > Add Packages > install button is still grayed out. I'm using workarounds to get by, but this bug has held on for three or four releases. When will this get fixed?

I have the latest version of Pro and after playing around with the definition query and doing some googling; I concluded that Arcade is not supported in the layer's definition query expression. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm right, this must be on the radar for a future version of Pro (I hope). Below is my definition query from ArcMap, and yes the expression works just fine in Pro. However, I have good reasons to move this over to Arcade. GasbYear LIKE CASE WHEN month(GetDate()) < 4 THEN year(GetDate()) - 1 ELSE year(GetDate()) END

This seems like related problem, I'm updating an arcgisscripting 9.3 python script to arcpy. The In_Memory layer errors out on the Project geoprocess. ERROR 000944: Output feature class cannot be in the in_memory workspace. Here's the test code, minus the bogus projection info string. import sys, string, os, shutil, arcpy # Create the Geoprocessor object and set variables arcpy.env.overwriteOutput = 1 Ticket_Envelope = r"C:\Temp\Matt.shp" Ticket_Layer = r"In_Memory\Ticket_Layer" arcpy.Project_management(Ticket_Envelope, Ticket_Layer, "blah blah blah", "", "") So "In_Memory" feature classes seem to work like normal, with other geoprocesses in ArcPy. However, Projection appears to be an exception And\Or a bug. Any insight?
