Hi Joe, Sorry for delay in responding. For now, I am good with the step of enabling popup from a feature. We can close this ticket as "resolved". Thanks for your help.

Hi Joe, I found "Configure popup" and "Enable popup" when I click "..." in individual feature. When I clicked "enable popup", it starts to show me attributes. This is good. However, can I set that as overall default behaviour so as not have to "enable" for each and every feature? Thanks

Thanks Joe for responding. A. I was expecting exactly that such as soft click in left mouse button would open up attributes. But in my case, it results in zooming in. Is there an alternative way? Soft click (left mouse button) does nothing. Double click (left mouse button) results in zooming. B. Mouse wheel control also helps me to zoom in and out. So, that feature works correctly. C. Does this have anything to do with the choice of browser? In my case, I am using Firefox.

Currently available icons are. I also clicked on "More" from details as per help to see if I can configure popup. But could not find anything. See enclosed screenshots.

I am using ArcGISonline as forum member. I can add nee ArcGIS service and objects (point, polyline, polygon) appear on the Map. With each object, the publisher (remote ArcGIS server) provides a set of attributes. I am looking for way to inspect the attributes. When I click any object, this triggers zooming. I did not find any obvious icon similar to Identify here.

Thanks for prompt response. I plan to upgrade the software to version 10.3 and try again. Will keep this entry updated with my findings.

Version 10.1 It works for certain URL's. But does not work for some. We know the sources are working as other users can access. (I myself added this from ArcGIS Explorer, from another machine. And objects show up on Map.) My question is - is there a way to provide troubleshooting information? So far, my experience with this has been 'hit and miss'. The failure point is - it does not show me folder (as I expect) to select after connecting to the provided URL. I do not get any clear message, simply a screen without folder name i.e. nothing for me to select. Steps - Add content. GIS services. ArcGIS server Provide Server URL, authentication (username, password). click Finish Adds a new entry "arcgis on URL provided". Shows green. I select and click "Add". Next screen ("Add Data") does not show me folder name contrary to my expectation. When I try again, the previous entry appears in red and the number incremented. "Red" entries keep on adding up as I try again and again. Eventually, I use ArcCatalog to clean things up.

Thanks Mark. Indeed your recommended action works when I add shape file and left-click to see attributes. However, when I add "GIS service", the objects are displayed on Map as expected. But in this situation, left-click does not show me properties. The cursor remains as "hand" icon, presumably for pan action. Then I did some troubleshooting, checked property. I had to enable popup there and now I get to see properties popup. So, we can treat this subject as closed.

Hi Installed fresh ArcGIS Explorer Desktop 3400 in Windows. I have added layer with mappable data from external ArcGIS. I can see the objects on Map. But cannot seem to find a way to click on an object and see underlying properties. Such as "i" in ArcGIS ArcMap. Similar behaviour even in ArcGISonline. https://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?useExisting=1 I can see the objects on Map, but do not see a way to "identify" in order to see properties. Can you please check and advise? Thank you
