I was just working on this. I think this is why ESRI sells tracker analysis. HOWEVER, There is a work around for those that don't have it. Work around #1. I created a list widget, sorted descending on OBJECT ID, limited the list to one entry. Then on the widget configuration I included zoom, highlight, and directions too. Work around two I haven't actually done yet, but I would do about the same thing only with a filter. Hope this helps, I know it doesn't get rid of all the map clutter but at least one can find where their last location is. Another item under the configuration settings that I haven't played with yet is there is a "Follow" feature, I'm interested in how that will work.

So in that regard. I'm sure photos take up space in the cloud and hence credits. So when I am done with a particular project how do I delete them from my account?

I have found the answer I needed. There are several different threads on this topic. One thing that seems to be universal... if you are "just starting out" with the check-in Check-out process keep all your files on your local machine under the same file structure. That seems to solve most of these issues in the various other threads as well. Once you can successfully complete the process, then you can tweak your workflow/process to work on a server. For example. I keep all of my files on the server. When Checking In data however use my local machine for processing new data and check-in, correct, and process my master database, which is on the server. Again, for ease of mind, until you have "A Process" worked out, keep everything on your local machine and stay away from the server. One thing is certain there are many processes and bugs to be worked out of the Trimble Positions/ArcPad duo. Its an awsome set up once you get the process down. Dean

I have had the same problem and took me a few days to figure out. Here are a few things to consider... 1) I use relative paths in all of my ArcGIS projects. Trimble positions seems remembers the absolute path so to speak. I had issues because I mapped a drive on the server directly to the project I was working on. When I created the original project I went to the server and then to my project. I now know that this is one way to create a similar error you are talking about. In summary the Trimble Positions database that is created in the background stores the absolute path to your data, at least that's what I have found. It actually makes sense when you think about it. 2) If you are working from a server, try and copy the check in project onto your local machine and check it in. I know this is contrary to what is said above but this also worked for me. 3) A am still having problems checking in data from the server environment but use #2 as a work around. 4) I looked into the JIT stuff and don't think that's the answer 5) Good Luck.! Keep on trying, you will get it working. We are both ahead of the game. Another thought... Are you checking out shapefiles? If you are I could not get this to work at all! In my workflow I create quick projects using geodatabases. I only check out the Schema for my editing files and use background data axf files for my base (counties, etc)

Background: I have set up a file geodatabase with 10 domains and 10 subtypes for data collection dropdown lists. Also, using Trimble Positions. I struggled through the process but sucessufully created and deployed a quick project utilizing a custom geodatabase with several dropdown lists. Data collection is fast, easy, and accurate... and it works. Getting the data back to the geodatabase in a corrected format is my issues. Please help if you can. My issues is back to the check in process and post processing. I can see the data on the desk top arcpad, I can see that it is "generally" in the correct locations. When I check the data back it it will say something like... 198 points collected/processed ... 0 moved to trimble sessions. Any ideas! Facts from Documentation: ... ArcPad workflow support. Version 10.1.1 of the Trimble Positions Desktop add-in now supports data collected using ArcPad with the Trimble Positions ArcPad extension version 10.0.1. This includes support for AXF check-in/-out and the handling of QuickProjects created in ArcPad
