Try adding {Image_Field} as the Hyperlink in pop-up configuration for the image element. So URL and Hyperlink will both have the same value. When you identify the feature, pop-up will show the image but if you click on the image it should then open up with IE and should be larger in size. Currently the default image application is not used. Thanks.

Hi Charley - so you have an attribute field with full-path to images and you want these images displayed when you identify a feature? For this doesn't just specifying {FIELD_NAME} as the URL work? Say your attribute field is called "Image_Field" then in the pop-up configuration page for the layer add an IMAGE element and in the URL input box type in {Image_Field} I think this should work. Thanks.

Hi Drew, MapView.Active.SelectFeatures(...) does a visual select so you get the results for what you are viewing currently. With isWhollyWithin set to TRUE, a point feature would only get selected if the symbol for the point feature is completely within the selected polygon feature. You might also get different results if you zoom-in/out of the view as the point symbol that was initially just inside the polygon geometry might now fall completely or partially outside the polygon boundary when you zoom out. The results shown in the screenshots you shared seem correct to me. Also your solution of using SpatialQueryFilter and layer select is good and will get you the results you were expecting. Thanks.

Hi Patrick, Thanks for the detailed steps. Image Options > Source URL is for the image you want to display in the pop-up window. Hyperlink is where you provide the URL or path to document you want to display when clicking on the image in the pop-up window. Source URL and Hyperlink do not have to be the same value. Also please note that you could also add a Text element to the pop-up and add a hyperlink there instead of adding an Image element if you do not want to show an image in the pop-up. When you edit the Text element, in the Text Options pane the Hyperlink button is the one on the far right. Click on it and specify the hyperlink. This hyperlink will display at the top in the pop-up window. Thanks.

Hi Muqit, Is the line feature class you are using for the path z-aware (meaning is it a 3D line feature)? If not and you have the line feature layer draped on a surface or have applied some layer offsets to it then when you "Move layer along path", the car point feature might be displaying below the surface. I would say try with a 3D line feature for selected path and do not use layer offsets/drape on surface options. If this does not help then please provide some more information on the data you are using. Thanks, Deepinder Deol

Hi Gabriel, You can use procedural symbols in ArcGIS Pro for creating 3D-symbols/realistic-buildings for your polygon features. Procedural symbols are created from a Esri CityEngine rule package file (.rpk). The rules have to be authored in CityEngine and then can be exported out as rule packages for consumption in Pro. So if you want to create a very specific type of symbol then you will need to author that rule in CityEngine. However, there are already a number of rule packages that are available to use. You can search for these here and maybe one of these will satisfy your requirements - http://www.arcgis.com/home/search.html?q=rule%20package&t=content&start=1 Additionally, you can also look at the Procedural Symbols style in ArcGIS Pro - there are a couple of symbols available there. Just add the style to your Pro project and pick a procedural symbol from the Gallery. Please take a look at Pro help for more information: Procedural symbol layers—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop Procedural symbols are highly configurable. All the symbol properties (also known as attributes) exposed by the rule can be configured in Pro. You can map the symbol properties to your feature class attributes. So for example, if a rule extrudes building footprints then you can map the 'extrusion height' symbol property to your feature class field that has height information. Now all features will be extruded to different heights based on their height field values. You should also look into the following GP tools: Features From CityEngine Rules—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Layer 3D To Feature Class—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Thanks, Deepinder Deol

Hi Scott, The model is flat probably because you chose the current scene coordinate system as the coordinate system for the output multipatch feature class AND the current scene's coordinate system was GCS WGS 1984. To avoid this issue choose another coordinate system (like UTM etc.) - if you have other existing data for your scene then you can determine which coordinate system to use from this data. Also please look into the option of using placement points for proper positioning of the imported models - this might help as well but I think the flat models problem should be resolved with an appropriate coordinate system setting. Thanks.

Here are some options in ArcGIS Pro: 1. You can use the Import 3D Files GP tool to bring your DAE models into a multipatch feature class. Please refer to this help topic on the GP tool: Import 3D Files—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop 2. You can also use COLLADA models to symbolize point features, make the required symbol edits and then you could export out to a multipatch feature class using the Layer 3D to Feature Class GP tool - Layer 3D To Feature Class—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop - note that if you save the output as a shapefile then textures will be lost. So you should save output as a gdb feature class. Once you have the multipatch feature class, you can edit (move, rotate, scale etc.) the features in ArcGIS Pro. Thanks.

Hi Todd, If I am understanding the issue here correctly then the reason using Elevation > Expression isn't working is because then you can't use Geometry z-values with the Absolute Height elevation setting - correct? Here are two ways I can think of that might help you: 1. Use Data Management Tools > Features > Adjust 3D Z GP tool to adjust the Z-values of your z-aware line feature class to account for the pipe diameter. Note - this GP tool will modify the input data so make sure you save a copy of your original data in case this approach does not work out. 2. Use 3D Analyst Tools > 3D Features > Add Z Information GP tool to save the Zs of your line features as an attribute, then adjust this attribute value to account for the pipe diameter AND then use this attribute value in the elevation expression. Please refer to help on GP tools for detailed information. Thanks.

Hi Sergio, Although I am not sure, the issue you are seeing might be because the textures for the DAE are missing. When you created the DAE, were there some other files (jpg/png etc.) also created along with the .dae? You could look at the DAE itself and look for the following node in there - this might give an idea about the missing file. <library_images> <image id="ID2731"> <init_from>folderName/textureName.jpg</init_from> </image> </library_images> If the above is the issue then the fix could be simply putting the missing file in the correct location. Thanks.

Hi Bob, Can you try adding extrusion to the polygon feature layer? Extrusion can be set on Layer Properties > Extrusion tab. Set extrusion to a small value such as 0.01m, save your SXD and export to web scene using the GP tool. Now the holes in the polygon features should display as expected in the web scene. Thanks.

Hi Paul, In ArcGIS Pro, you can apply a procedural symbol to your building footprints (polygons). 1. Add the polygon feature class to a 3D scene - make sure the polygon feature layer is in the 3D Layers category in the Contents pane. If it is in 2D Layers category then drag it into 3D Layers. 2. In Project pane, right click on Styles > Add System Style - here expand 3D and check ON Procedural Symbols, Click OK 3. Click on feature layer symbol in Contents pane to bring up Symbology pane - here you should see a Procedural Symbols style in the Gallery. You can pick a procedural symbol from here and then configure its properties as needed. Note - Procedural Symbols style has symbols for polygon feature layers and for multipatch feature layers. You should choose polygon procedural symbols for polygon feature layers. Here is a help topic that gives more information on how to add a procedural symbol layer: Procedural symbol layers—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Professionals Note - When picking a rule package (.rpk) file for a procedural symbol, in the Select Rule Package browse dialog, you can select Portal > All Portal in the left pane and then search for rpk - this will return all publicly available rule packages shared on the active portal. Thanks.

Hi Ted, I assume your post is about accessing Layer Properties by right clicking on a record in the attribute editor? If yes then this is a known issue and should be fixed in the final release. Thanks for testing, Deepinder Deol 3D-Team

Hi Ted, In ArcGlobe, while in an edit session you cannot access/change layer properties. In addition you are also not allowed to do a manual refresh of the layer (via TOC, rt. click on layer --> refresh) - this is as designed. Difference in behavior between Scene and Globe is because Globe makes use of a disk cache whereas Scene does not. Changing layer properties will cause a refresh of a layer's disk cache which can cause display issues with edits which have not yet been saved. So in Globe you will have to define the layer properties before you start the edit session. Thanks, Deepinder Deol 3D-Team
