Would you or Robert mind sharing that link? I'm in Colorado as well and have what I think is a complete set of the CO highway symbols, as well as some other DDV fonts that Jim Mossman did back in the day. It's crazy to think that most of these fonts were created back between 2003 - 2005, and also sad that they have largely disappeared from the Internet entirely. I know Esri used to keep some of them on what used to be the "ArcScripts" site, but that's long gone too. I'd like to fill out my collection of these before they disappear forever.

Thanks Ryan. There's a lot there and I'll have to delve into it. I'm saddened by your inability to get the base64 strings to work as well with addAttachment. The hurdle I'm trying to tackle is capturing a user's digital signature and then uploading the png of it up to a feature in a feature service via REST. The JS library I use has no problem creating the base64 of the png, but being mobile-only, I'm not sure I can save the png somewhere locally to something like a phone so that can then be scraped and uploaded using your method. It's a technical challenge for sure... thanks for your help!

I have to re-ask the same question everyone as everyone else here.... is this "limitation" going to get addressed? I've tested map services with features related to features (i.e. signs on signposts) and those with tables related to features (sign inspections on signs) The existence of either makes continuous collection not work. No error message, no nothing... it just doesn't work. And this is using ArcGIS Server 10.4 and the beta 10.4 Collector release currently out. Honestly, the support of related tables in Collector is pretty much negated by their blocking of continuous feature collection

I’m showing hidden folders, and there’s still nothing there. Regardless, I uninstalled it from ArcMap itself. What is the best source to get the Attribute Editor? It seems to be included with a dozen different ESRI projects out there. I just want to make sure I’m getting the latest version. Dominick A. Looking at my PC, I have the C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\ESRI\Desktop10.3 folder, but no AssemblyCache folder therein. I’ll keep searching elsewhere for it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dominick A. We had an MXD with 17 layers, all with attachments, in SDE that would not publish. I moved everything into a local File GDB, republished, and it went through. It would appear there are a number of potential stumbling blocks to this, and the "Consolidating the Data Failed" error message is a catch-all for many of them.

Well, that sure looks like the fix, except that when it says to "Change the two occurrences of the following tag from false to true" there is no "following tag" actually given to change. I assumed it might be the "supportsOptionalZone" property in the XML file, but that didn't seem to work. Guess I can randomly start flipping property flags, re-creating locators, and repeating until something sticks, or bounce this back to ESRI and see if they'd like to fill in the blank on this bug. Actually it is the "supportsOptionalZone" tag that does the trick. Just need to restart ArcCatalog (duh) to re-read the updated XML. There's a better technical article that outlines the fix here, with the actual tag to update actually mentioned. (http://support.esri.com/ru/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/40678)

This was working before, but now I can't seem to get an ArcGS.com map to work. When I setup an ArcGIS Online Map service with a few feature layers and a tiled aerial mapservice we are serving up it works fine in ArcGIS.com or in an online JavaScript API-based editor. However, when I try to open up the map in Collector, every layer comes up separately with the same error: "Unable to load layer : (The Layer URL) from (Our ArcGIS URL)... Illegal start of token [<]" Has anyone else run into this issue? This turned out to be an internal issue on our end. A few weeks after setting up our ArcGIS Server, another completely different server was setup in our network with the same external IP address. That's never a good thing, and caused no end of mystery bugs until it was sorted out.

I've setup some javascript code to add a text symbol to the map and then use the export web map task, but finding that what's on the map is different to what's appearing in the printout from the export web map task. e.g.
var textSymbol = new esri.symbol.TextSymbol( "Hello World" ).setColor(
new dojo.Color([128, 0, 0])).setAlign(esri.symbol.Font.ALIGN_START).setAngle(45).setFont(
new esri.symbol.Font( "12pt" ).setWeight(esri.symbol.Font.WEIGHT_BOLD));
If I add this code in to add to the map where a user clicks, then print the map, this text comes up as regular black text as opposed to what is shown on the map, so the angle, color and font family is not coming through to the export web map task. Is this not possible or am I doing something wrong in my code? Did you ever get a resolution to your issue? I'm experiencing something similar... trying to specify a color for text rendered on a map export, yet it only comes out as black. Is this simply not supported, or is there some special combination of settings needed to make it fly?

I think you are running into the following bug which resurfaced at 10.1: NIM081790: When batch geocoding or locating addresses and instersections in the geocoding toolbar and Find tool, an address locator based on the Dual Range locator style does not return matches or candidates when city, state, or zip fields are not mapped. Try this workaround: 1. In ArcCatalog or the Catalog window, right-click the address locator 2. Click Properties? 3. In the Geocoding Options section change 'Match with no zones' from ??no? to ??yes? Has this bug been fixed yet? We are running 10.2.2 and still seeing the issue. We have a problem because we run scripts to rebuild local locators on a regular basis, and the "Match with no zones" flag constantly gets switched back to "no" every time, breaking our address locators for all intents and purposes. Is there a way to programatically set the environment, or set a reg key somewhere to make "yes" the default here?

Do you know of an example of how to add a real attribute to a graphic? and I'll second the original poster here, graphic.attr is very confusing. What exactly is the point of adding an attribute to a graphic's DOM node? Never mind... Figured it out. It's JSON 101 Duh. Just set the attribute directly... graphic.attribute.<attribute name> = "New value"

Are you using 3.7? graphic.attr() was introduced at 3.7 (we'll update the docs to say this). Attr is also used to add attributes to a graphic's DOM node, it doesn't affect graphic.attributes (which I admit is confusing). If you want to add to or update a graphic.attributes, modify that object directly. Do you know of an example of how to add a real attribute to a graphic? and I'll second the original poster here, graphic.attr is very confusing.
