I have this same question. We are creating "public" surveys but only sharing the URL and including a password so that only those that should be submitting data get the survey but it appears that anyone can open the associated feature class and Add data through AGOL by searching on the name of the survey. It seems like you should be able to prevent people from adding data to the associated feature class.

Disregard this question. I got it to work. I can't figure out how to delete the question.

When I try to print output from a multiple choice question it does not show up in the custom report. See screen shots below. All fields print fine when using the Standard Print option. Is it possible to get the code used to generate the Standard Print report. This may help. The "Condition(s) required for approval/disapproval" field won't print using my code in the Custom Report. In creating my custom report I am copying the field name directly from the template. The field name is definitely correct. It's a response to a Multiple Choice question that allows multiple responses to be chosen as well as an Other option. The first bullet is one of the multiple choice choices. The second bullet is the typed in Other response. Here is the code I used in the custom report: Here is the output that I get when the custom report is run: It does not pull the data I the "conditions_required_for_approva" field. I'm guessing there is some additional coding required to get multiple responses to print? Thanks for any help.

OK. Thanks. But just to confirm, when I did some testing it appeared that even with the "Editors can't see any features, even those they add" selected, someone could still just add random data to the Feature Class.... is this correct? If so, is there any way to prevent this? thanks again for your help.

We create public Survey 123 forms with a password to control who can submit surveys and we only share the survey url with those that are supposed to be contributing. We do this so we don't have unauthorized people adding data. I'm concerned that it appears that someone could find the associated Hosted Feature class using the AGOL map search function and just randomly Add data to the Public Feature Class. I read the related Survey 123 posts on the Settings for the Hosted Feature Class but setting it to "Editors can't see any features, even those they add" would make it so they couldn't edit the data but it still seems like someone could Add data. Is there a setting to have the Hosted Feature Class associated with a Public Survey to not be public?

Is ESRI working on functionality for Explorer to not allow a mobile device screen to "time out" when using a mobile map package? This functionality is available with Avenza Pdf Maps and is very helpful when using a mobile map to navigate to a location while driving or hiking (and not touching the screen). It keeps the map showing on the screen even though the screen is not being interacted with.

We were able to get this to work by including a layer at the bottom of the TOC that encompassed the entire area that we wanted to zoom out to. This layer was not really needed in the mobile map so we just turned it off. It does appear that the visible extent of the map on a mobile device is set by the visible extent of the bottom layer in the operational map. Thus, adding a Base Map will have the same effect but in our situation we wanted the layers (Roads and stream systems, notably) in the vector tile package to display on top of some of our operational layers, so the Base Map approach was not effective in this case. We ended up adding the vector tile package as the top layer.

@Mark Bockenhauer One question that I still have though... I had made a MMPK by just adding my vector tile package as another layer of data and not adding it as a Base Map. One of the MMPKs that I made did not have the scaling problem. I was able to zoom all the way out with no problem. One of the advantages of this map was that my vector tile package which includes my roads layer is visible through my other operational layers which include several large polygons that cover up the roads when it is in Base Map format. Is there a setting some where that allows you to set the visible scale of your MMPK? I'm pretty certain when I was having the problem I had nothing set in the Visibility Range in the Appearance tab for the map I was using to make the MMPK. I'm thinking I must have done something inadvertently to cause the scaling problem. Thanks again for your help.

I am creating Mobile Map Packages in Arc GIS Pro using a vector tile package as the background and several operational layers. The MMPKs were working perfectly and then I made some adjustments to some scale dependencies on some of the layers and the labels for some of the layers. Somehow I must have adjusted a setting somewhere because now when I download the MMPKs onto my IPhone it does not let me zoom out to the full extent of the map. It stops it at about 1:40,000, when I used to be able to go out to the full extent (approximately 1:700,000) of the vector tile package. I can still scroll across the full extent of the map and all of my data is there but I need to zoom out for more efficient navigation to locations. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help.

This would be a very helpful feature. We have foresters performing required permit related inspections in the field. This information is used by our office staff to produce quarterly reports on the number of inspections performed but the information is also used by the foresters so they can keep records on the specific permits in case follow up or other actions are needed. Having a feature where they could elect to have the results of the inspection automatically emailed to them, or not, would be very helpful. Right now our office staff manually generates reports from Survey 123 when a forester requests them. Is there any update from ESRI on the status of this feature? Thanks!.
