@AlixVezina I do not get prompted to enter credentials when adding via URL. Aside from being an administrator, are there additional privileges required?

Hi @AlixVezina thank you for the quick response. I published the layer to the federated Enterprise deployment from an enterprise geodatabase. I registered the layer as versioned within the EGDB without an issue, and have confirmed versioning access from the published feature layer. The feature layer was published based on the Esri documentation to ensure versioning access. And I had attempted adding the feature layer to the experience builder in various ways (in web map, direct data connect, via URL) but would continue getting the same error message from the branch version management widget. Ultimately I was able to solve this issue by changing the share settings on the feature layer, from Private to Public. After that the widget was able to recognize the feature layer and allowed for proper configuration. Is that expected behavior that the layer needs to be shared publicly in order for the branch version management widget to acknowledge that the layer is properly set up with versioning capabilities?

I've established a versioned dataset (following this documentation - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/register-a-dataset-as-branch-versioned.htm), and published this data to Enterprise (referenced layer, checked version management box, dedicated instance), and I can successfully work with the versioning tools within ArcGIS Pro for this published layer. When setting up an Experience Builder and attempting to use the Branch Version Management widget, I consistently get the error "Not a valid versioned service" when attempting to add the versioned feature layer as a data source. Has anyone else experienced this error? How did you resolve it?

I just tested the search() function in beta, and although I was not able to get this function to read from local CSV files in the Survey123 media folder, I was able to have the search() function read from the REST URLs from the hosted CSV files. Though the final survey web form only worked on the Survey123 beta website. Are there any updates on when the search() function will be fully released?

We have a multi-machine ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 deployment that is not connected to the internet and is an offline implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1. We would like to apply patches to the system and need to specify an IP address for which servers & IP addresses need to be let through the firewall to allow for downloading of the latest patches from ArcGIS Patch Notification Tool. The main ask is to determine what IP Addresses need to be added to the firewall to allow for ArcGIS Patch Notification Tool to work?

Hi John, thanks for the reply. This issue was occurring when using ArcGIS Dashboards with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1. We have since solved this issue. We were using a SQL CAST function to display lat/long values as points, which seemed to have an impact on the point visibility within a dashboard view. But after altering the SQL statement to use STGeomFromText instead of CAST, we were able to visualize the points within the dashboard.

Within ArcGIS Pro, I'm importing symbology from a layer file, which appears crisp within the Pro project. After publishing this symbolized layer to Portal, the feature layer symbology comes through quite blurry/fuzzy. Has anyone else experienced this issue? How can I maintain image quality for PNG image symbology when publishing to Portal?

I've also been encountering this issue consistently. When publishing from Pro to Portal, the symbology becomes blurry. It looks clear when applied in Pro, but comes through blurry in Portal. Would be interested to hear if others are also experiencing this, and if there are any solutions to this issue?

Do licenses work the same for Power BI in Portal and ArcGIS Online? Secondly, if a user builds an item using an ArcGIS Power BI license and publishes that item to Power BI, will the map components work for all users or only for users with an ArcGIS for Power BI license? Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

I've also been experiencing issues with the situation awareness widget interacting with polygon features. When using the Proximity analysis type, the widget will locate the polygon centroids within the buffer. But when using the Summary analysis type, the output returns a "No features found" message. Is there a way to generate of summary of attributes for a given area base on a polygon feature layer?

Jumping on this idea, this would be extremely helpful for an Enterprise and Collector field data collection use case. At the minimum it would be nice to communicate with interested parties if this is on the roadmap and when to expect it, if at all. Thanks again, any information is appreciated!

We recently implemented ArcGIS Enterprise on a virtual machine that will be used as a developer environment. Everything with the Enterprise configuration is working as expected, but we’re encountering consistent errors when attempting to publish data from ArcGIS Pro to Portal. We believe the core issue is related to DNS/ports, as we’re able to successfully publish data from the VM itself, but attempts to publish from outside of the VM consistently fail for feature layers. Oddly enough, we’re able to publish Map Image layers from outside the VM, just not feature layers. We’re using Cloudflare for DNS, so this may be part of the issue. Cloudflare may be blocking DNS access when attempting to publish feature layers from outside of the VM environment. We were unable to publish from the VM until we adjusted the DNS/ports to point directly at the app gateway rather than Cloudflare. After pointing directly to the app gateway, we were able to publish from the VM successfully. But this did not resolve the issue when attempting to publish from outside of the VM. We have implemented a firewall rule, because it appears that Cloudflare challenges publishing attempts from ArcGIS Pro. Though this has not had any impact on publishing from outside the VM. We have encountered similar issues with additional instances of ArcGIS Enterprise in the past, and wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone else has encountered similar issues?

Did this work for you? Where were you able to update the Admin Site URL within portaladmin? Here's where I am: Portaladmin - Home > Federation > Servers > (selected server) > Update When I click update, I'm not given the option to input a new admin URL for the federated server, only the option to designate the server role and server function. Can you elaborate on how you solved this without unfederating?

After uploading a layer to an Enterprise geodatabase, the layer become corrupt and simultaneously created a timestamped layer in ArcGIS Server Manager. The timestamped layer shows up along with the original layer in ArcGIS Server. The timestamped version can be deleted, but the original layer stops and will not start again, nor can it be deleted. Does anyone know why this timestamped layer gets created? Has anyone else encountered these timestamped instances of a layer?
