I would also like to be able to download a previous version of Survey123 Connect. There is a bug in the most current version that changes the Survey123 basemap to the US Topographic base map. Previous versions of connect did not have this issue.

I am having issues with two layers not being shown on the map in #Collector for Android, but they work fine in Collector for iOS. In both applications the services appear in the Layers list, but in the Android Collectore application the layers are turned off and I cannot make them display again.

I want to automate the import of the XML file into a personal geodatabase so that I can generate a feature class from the XML file. So I would appreciate any advise, but the connection is where I am getting stuck now. I have not been able to find any on how to handle to connection when importing a XML file.

Unfortunately we do not have a license for the Data Interoperability extension and I do not think that we can justify that for a single project. I am under the impression that the data belongs to Waze I do not believe that I can share it with the public. I will try to tell you what I can. This file is xml version 1.0 and it is from the Waze GeoRSS feed. When I import the data using the import xml file in Access it generates 2 table 1 called "channel" that contains information on the area covered by the data and another called "item" with contains the incident data with 15 text fields. Let me know if there is some other information that would help.

I am working on a python application to download information from Waze that we receive in XML format. I have the part of the code written to download the file and name it based on the time and date. The problem that I have is automating the import of the XML file into a personal geodatabase. I am using pypyodbc to establish the connection to the database and the cursor for the SQL statement to import the xml data. The only example I have been able to find it for importing an Excel spreadsheet into Access. cnxn = pypyodbc.connect( r'Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};' + r'DBQ=C:\Users\Public\Database1.accdb')crsr = cnxn.cursor()crsr.execute( r"SELECT * INTO fromExcel " + r"FROM [Excel 12.0 Xml;HDR=YES;IMEX=2;ACCDB=YES;DATABASE=C:\Users\Public\xlData.xlsx].[Sheet1$]")crsr.commit()crsr.close()cnxn.close() The part after "crsr.execute(" is where I am having problems with the syntax to set the name for the table. I cannot find much information on this part. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

There is a tool available here that will check for gaps, overlaps, and parity issues in the addresses in centerline data. I have used it in the past and it has been very useful.

We use a similar strategy here. We have backup servers set up in case one or more gets damaged, but I still maintain local backups in various locations. It may not be as impressive as the applications that we can make now, but worst case scenario we can still perform analysis and print hard copies.

I am not certain, but I believe that is the way that we have our Portal configured. We participate in the Community base map program and as a benefit they send us a copy of our data that ESRI uses to create the topographic base map. We use that to create a local cache for our server. That way we have a consistent look for our applications no matter which source Portal or AGO.

Have you looked at using Portal for ArcGIS? It has a lot of the features that ArcGIS Online offers, but it is locally hosted. We have been using it for applications that we do not want to put on Arc GIS Online.

Since I have not had much experience with Network Analyst I might be looking a the results too critically. I look at the distances covered in 6 or 7 minutes for these service areas the results are just not feasible. I am not including traffic data into the calculations and at the widest our city is about 15 mile across, but unless they are using a fire engine like this the results do not seem to be accurate enough to rely upon. Our centerline data is accurate in regards to speed limits, one way, and connectivity. I do not have a problem playing with the turn delays, but I had hoped with the importance of calculating response time for fire stations that there would some research on the subject available.

I guess that I should have said that this is not for dispatch. I received some requests to estimate service areas at 6 and 7 minutes out from the fire stations some time ago. When I tried to calculate the areas using a network that my predecessor had used, the areas generated were too large. When I looked at the network there were no global turn delays and I did not know if the default delays would be large enough to accurately model a fire engine or EMT vehicle. I have looked around and I have found most of the articles that you mentioned in your other post, but no one seems to have an estimate for fire engines traveling on a fairly flat terrain.

Sorry about not replying sooner, but I did not check on my post. I did figure out a solution, but I cheated and used model builder. Here is the python version of the tool:
# Import arcpy module
import arcpy
# Load required toolboxes
arcpy.ImportToolbox("Model Functions")
# Script arguments
Select_Feature_Dataset = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
# Local variables:
Feature_Dataset = Select_Feature_Dataset
FeatureClass__2_ = "\\FeatureClass"
FeatureClass = FeatureClass__2_
Name = "FeatureClass"
# Process: Iterate Feature Classes
arcpy.IterateFeatureClasses_mb(Select_Feature_Dataset, "*", "", "NOT_RECURSIVE")
# Process: Upgrade Feature Class(es) Metadata
arcpy.UpgradeMetadata_conversion(FeatureClass__2_, "FGDC_TO_ARCGIS")
# Process: Upgrade Dataset Metadata
arcpy.UpgradeMetadata_conversion(Select_Feature_Dataset, "FGDC_TO_ARCGIS")

I am new to Network analyst, and I am trying to determine what global turn variables I should use to estimate travel times for fire engines. The delay times that I have seen on GeoNet seem to be somewhat low. For example I would think that when you include the time that a fire engine needs to decelerate and accelerate for a right hand turn that the delay would be greater than 5 to 10 seconds. Am I wrong about that and does anyone have a better idea for what global turn delays should be used?
