Hi Tom, What sort of scale do you need? At regional scale, Tom Patterson's beautiful Natural Earth springs to mind: http://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/10m-cross-blend-hypso/cross-blended-hypso-with-relief-water-drains-and-ocean-bottom/

Remember Derrick you can export graphics to features (shapefiles) by right clicking on Layers in your TOC and selecting "Convert Graphics to Features" also ETGeoWizards has a Scale Shapes basic function which is free to use see: http://www.ian-ko.com/ET_GeoWizards/gw_NoRestrictions.htm and: http://www.ian-ko.com/ET_GeoWizards/UserGuide/scaleShapes.htm just be careful not to go beyond the bounding box of the data

Hi Ryan, This should do the trick: Function FindLabel ( [ADR_LINE1], [ADR_LINE2], [ADR_LINE3], [ADR_LINE4], [ZIPCDE] ) Dim strInput if [ADR_LINE1] <> " " then strInput = [ADR_LINE1] end if if [ADR_LINE2] <> " " then strInput = strInput & vbNewLine & [ADR_LINE2] end if if [ADR_LINE3] <> " " then strInput = strInput & vbNewLine & [ADR_LINE3] end if if [ADR_LINE4] <> " " then strInput = strInput & vbNewLine & [ADR_LINE4] end if if [ZIPCDE] <> " " then strInput = strInput & vbNewLine & [ZIPCDE] end if FindLabel = strInput End Function

Hi John, ET GeoWizards can do this, see: http://www.ian-ko.com/ET_GeoWizards/UserGuide/spiderDiagramAttributeLink.htm Need to buy a licence though. Thinking differently, could you not use "XY To Line (Data Management Tools > Features)" using the xy for all the green dots as your "start" and the xy of your blue dot as your "end". Dave

Hi Paul, off the top of my head, Add four new fields to your data and calculate the offsets N, E, S and W (e.g. Eoffset = Xcoord + E/2) then generate a point at each location (Eoffset,Ycoord) and buffer them by field (selecting the diameter) and dissolve

Hi Iestyn, Find attached two sets of AI files. Each gore (pink area) represents 18 degrees span, you will need to stitch these together in Illustrator - I have included a graticule as a guide. I'd suggest mocking these up in card before committing to metalwork. Let me know how you get on. Regards, Dave

Hi Iestyn, Apologies for my delay in replying, work committments... The "stretch" is intentional, it is the distorting effect of the projection, that's what it looks like. Having done some quick research on this, I think mdenil is correct and the two projections you mentioned, even when hand shaped, will cause problems. I found this discussion on the web: http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/15639/what-projections-should-i-use-to-make-my-own-globe Producing gores on UTM looks promising and is pretty easy to setup, I'll have a go over the weekend. Iestyn, Take a look at the attached. You'll find a DXF file of the Americas projected to World Equidistant Cyclindrical. The whole file takes me over the amount I can send thru the forum, if you send me your email address I'll try sending it from home. I think the level of detail is sufficient for the size you're working to, let me know what you think. I could also add a bounding box as a N-S guide for position if that would help. David

Hi Iestyn, What you're asking for is straightforward, a couple of questions: Would you want to show country borders or simply landmasses? And out of interest, how are you going to handle locating all the islands? David
