Click here to view the Search and Rescue Map Report that I created for our agency.

This map indicates all searches and rescues for our State, going back to our first recorded lat/longs back in the early 2000's.  By utilizing the operations dashboard template, we were able to tell a story and view infographics about searches and rescues wtihin our state - thereby enhancing our experience to view SAR information.

Specific functionality includes being able to conduct queries on the data, view infographics on the results as well as specific locations.  Some of these data do tell an interesting story, specifically regarding suicides and their locations along bridges within Portland.

I'd encourage all to check it out and see how GIS can be used for telling a story about the data our agencies collect.
