Agriculture has a major challenge in focusing global frameworks to better manage ecosystem services despite extreme weather, warming trends, and growing demand for agricultural products.  Economic development, trade policy, political instability, resource constraints, threats to public health, and lack of transparency in commodity production create risk to agriculture and food systems.  Improved agricultural monitoring and production forecasting is critical to address these challenges as well as to meet critical G20 requirements.
