Mike, I follow you. No Issues rendering, check it out http://maps.coj.net/DuvalProperty . We have SQL Server and our load-balance is F5 that do balance 2 virtual webservers that have the web adaptor to a 3 ArcGIS server site plus file server for the config store & directories. Our network seems to be good. Heck, I still have a legacy ArcIMS map site our users refuse to get off because it runs so well, and if there ever was a network ‘sensitive’ app, its ArcIMS. I just got a boost of resources to 48GB of RAM and 8 processor to carry me through my surge of traffic due to Irma. It is with the surge of traffic these errors are much more prevalent. Oh no I just found ArcGIS server fault exe errors in Event Viewer. I see you have a esri.com email. By chance you tech support where you can open a case? I got to follow this one through, even if in the end I’m told to upgrade ☺ Thank You

THANK YOU for email. I went back to message on GeoNet but didn’t see where to reply. The datasource is Enterprise Geodatabase also v 10.3.1. It’s a SQL Server 2012 db. I am not getting the draw error, only the unable to process request bytes. It is the javaw.exe ArcGIS process (below) any ideas? Much oblige[cid:image001.png@01D327E1.79527BD0]

yes, installing the 64bit SQL Native client worked. Forgot I had only 32bit client installed left over from 10.0 Now I'm off trying to figure out when to use OS vs Database Registration. It looks like it's not a matter of one-time registering the db server with the arcgis sever but rather an issue of mulitple registrations will be needed based on the user of each individual ArcGIS service.

I also get Invalid db connection. I switch my ArcGIS Server account to be a domain account and I created a public login in the the SQL Srv SDE DB with connect properties to the database. I verified I can log in on my pc with this account, created a spatial connection to the DB. I get invalid database connection whether I attempt via ArcCatalog on my pc or the ArcGIS Server Manager on server console. I believe I understand the premise of what ESRI is trying to accomplish with Registering all data stores, it was a typcial problem with previous 10 that the SOC couldn't see the data. It just took the wind out of my sail for this so-far-so-great! install of ArcGIS 10.1 I too put incident in. reply back with your resolution, I just may go back to local account for ArcGIS Server

Did anyone experience this issue on a physical server vs a virtual server? We are are a virtural server SQL 2008 R2 Win2008 R2 and SDE v10 (no service packs or hotfixes) and we have this issue. I changed the service to automatic with delay and it's resolved........for now. But could this issue emerge again and our db grows and load increases????? Thank You for the post
