Please bear with me, I'm new to using Python. I am trying to create a scheduled task to run a model from ModelBuilder weekly. First, I exported my model from ModelBuilder as a Python script (to verify, this models runs when manually prompted in Modelbuilder). Then, I wanted to verify the model ran as a Python script, so I ran the module using IDLE, however, I keep getting an error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "\\<server>\gis\<project_folder>\Scripts\<script_name>.py", line 24, in <module> <event_name> = sys.argv[1] IndexError: list index out of range I have searched other forums with little taken from them as I cannot view line 24. I can only view the sys.argv[1] as: <event_name> = sys.argv[1] if <event_name> == '#': <event_name> = "<event_name>" # provide a default value if unspecified Please, if someone can help, offer your assistance!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to alter the units in Javascript API from 'english' (which gives miles) to kilometers? var scalebar = new esri.dijit.Scalebar({ map: map, scalebarUnit:'english' }); I have tried using 'metric'. No luck! Any help on this one?

Yes, so where do you add the task? I would not like to start from the ground up building a new web application when I already have one on my server that is somewhat to my liking, but I simply want to change some things to personalize it. Thank you for the help!

Currently, I have a deployed web application from ArcGIS Server that uses it's own url (e.g. "http://(servername):8399/arcgis/(foldername)/(applicationname)/MapServer"). I would like to edit the application by creating new geoprocessing tasks not available in the regular Geoprocessing tools and change some formatting. I would like to do this over creating an application from scratch and just using the url obtained from the services directory. I can do this now, but I can see it will take much longer! I really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Hi, please bare with me as I am new to JavaScript API. I would like to know how one goes about navigating to the JavaScript for their web application deployed on ArcServer? Where can one find the file to add or modify the existing JavaScript (e.g. to create a custom geoprocessing task or add a company logo to the header)? If anyone has a response, rather than simply viewing this post, please pass your knowledge along. Thank you very much 🙂

Any chance you had success in displaying the hatches in ArcMap instead? I do not have my m values as attributes, but rather they are coming as a output from FME model as coordinate geometry that only display when I chose to modify features in an edit session. When I originally posted in this forum, I was coming through a general search for "polylinem hatches" and I didn't realize I would end up in the API for JavaScript.

Ben, did you ever happen to figure this out? I am trying to display hatch markers from a polylinem myself and I have yet to find a work around. I can create polyline vertices to points, but this simply outputs points that aren't integrated within the original lines the m values are coming from. Any help would be much appreciated.
