ArcGIS Explorer Desktop won't switch from 2D to 3D mode. When I click the 3D option from the ribbon toolbar, I get the spinning (using Windows 7 32bit) icon and then nothing happens (and 2D is still the option checked in the menu). However, if I switch to another application and then back again, I often have artifacts of other windows in the viewing area. My computer passes all of the tests on the "Can You Run It" online test. I also have the most recent version of the Intel display driver installed (downloaded directly from the Lenovo site). I've also tried the driver provided by Windows/Windows Update. It sounds like this is a common problem for this Intel laptop display (http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/11869-ArcGIS-Explorer-1500-crashes-on-launch?p=109671#post109671), but is there any hope?
