Hi there, I just run into a troubling problem, and was wondering if anybody solved it already. When query an ArcGIS Server feature server and requesting only specific fields to be returned, the requested fields are only returned if the case of the field name matches the fields in the layer description (i.e. ../myservice/FeatureServer/0). Any ideas on how to workaround this problem! thanks for any help, Chris PS: I'm currently using the .net runtime SDK 10.2.6.

Hi Nick, how did you create the database? Through the tool "Create Enterprise Database"? In case you want to use the pg_geometry (postgis) geometry, you need to create the database through the postgis template, i.e. psql -d [yourdatabase] -c "CREATE EXTENSION postgis;". After you have created the database, you can proceed with the "Create Enterprise Database" tool. Reader the following page for more info: PostgreSQL data types supported in ArcGIS—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Cheers, Chris

Hi Sree, thanks for the info. I'll "solve" the problem temporarily with the QueryFilter. Do you know, by when you think the support for QueryDefs will come? Thanks, Chris

Hi there, I want to convert a WKB geometry type to a ArcGIS.Core.Geometry.Geometry type. Are there any methods for this yet? Or did anybody write the necessary methods already? Chris

We are rewriting some existing ArcObject code for ArcGIS Pro. We have now some code which uses a IQueryDef to run some select statement against a IWorkspace object. The code looks something link this: var queryDef = workspace.CreateQueryDef(); queryDef.Tables = "mytable"; queryDef.SubFields = "name, value1, value2"; queryDef.WhereClause = "refId in (1,2,3)"; queryDef.PostfixClause = " order by value1"; var cursor = queryDef.Evaluate(); I was now wondering, how we can achive the same with the ArcGIS Pro SDK. Thanks, Chris

Hi there, I was wondering if it's possible to get the actual geodatabase through the BasicFeatureLayer.GetDataConnection() method, which (can) return a CIMFeatureDatasetDataConnection. I found, that when working with a filegdb, I can get the path for the fgdb. The path I can use in return to create a new Geodatabase object. If I try to do the same with an enterprise gdb, I can retrieve only the connection string. Even though I can use the connection string to create a new ConnectionProperies object, the object can not be used to open a Geodatabase. If I try this, I can some type of time-out. I'm now wondering, if there's an easier way to get the underlying Geodatabase object for a feature layer. thanks in advance, Chris

Hi PG, as fas as I know is this not possible from the SDK. This would also make no sense especially in the case of the .geodatabase content, since it would need to be sync'd back to the server (or is not even writable when created from the desktop). For a MPK this isn't possible either, since the SDK works over an REST API similar to the one used by the server. An there are not options to alter the schema of the database. There are workarounds to this problem, but I'm not sure if it's wise to do it. What's your use case for this requirement? cheers, Chris

Hi there, we created Runtime Content from an MXD (with ArcMap) which contains multiple featurelayers as well as tables. The layers are then added through code to the map. This works all pretty well. The problem is now, that the map crashes after a few zooms and pans. In addition, features may not always redraw after each zoom / pan, leaving half the map "unrendered". I'm now wondering, if anybody else has that problem? Or if this may be related to the data we are using. Thanks for any input or feedback, Chris PS: the content was created with ArcMap 10.3 and a TPK is used as backgroun in addition to the runtime content.

Hi Chris, On the server side you may still need some .net, in order to provide the necessary DB and security interaction. I would propose you take a look at the Web API framework from Microsoft. It provides the necessary components to create a secure REST API, which you can then easily consume with a javascript client (we use angular js here ). Cheers, Chris
