I raised a bug with Esri about this but apparently being able to recalculate read-only fields is intended behaviour. I've created this idea suggesting the ability to hide/disable the recalculate button.

Be able to hide (or disable) the recalculate button that appears next to calculated fields. There are certain instances/workflows where the presence of the recalculate button is undesirable and risks data entry or usability issues (e.g. here).

Hi all, Is there any way to hide or disable the 'refresh calculation' button (the one with two circular arrows that appears next to a field with a calculation on it)? My reason for asking is that I have a repeat which has allowAdds=true allowUpdates=false on it. When a user opens a record from the Inbox it displays the previously entered repeats as read-only (as desired), but if they accidentally click on the refresh calculation button next to one of these fields it will refresh the calculation (which isn't desired). As the fields themselves don't allow editing there's also no way they can go back and correct the field if they notice the mistake. Any help would be be much appreciated. Colin

Hi all, I have a JavaScript script/function that identifies which record within a repeat has the most recent date and returns the 'number' of that repeat. That number is then used elsewhere to bring back another date value from that repeat record to populate a field in the survey's main table. In the field app this all works perfectly, but when I view it in the web form version it doesn't. From what I can see it it returns the number of the repeat as '6' or '9' (depending on the date value) even when there aren't anywhere near that number of records with the repeat. I know there are limitations with using JavaScript within the web form, so I was wondering: 1) Is this one of the limitations (and if so what actual is the nature of the limitation I'm seeing)? 2) If it isn't one of the limitations, what am I doing wrong? Is there a solution/better way to do this? I've attached a version of my .xlsx and the script is as below. I'm logged in when I'm running this and I'm also a beginner with using JavaScript so may not be understanding things properly. Any help anyone can offer would be hugely appreciated. /* * JavaScript functions for Survey123 */ function indexMax(fieldname){ var maxValue = fieldname[0]; var maxIndex = 0; for (var i =1; i<fieldname.length; i++){ if (fieldname[i]>maxValue){ maxIndex = i; maxValue = fieldname[i]; } } return maxIndex; }

Hi @ChristopherCounsell, Many thanks for this - it's really helpful. I've managed to fix it thanks to the last link in you reply. I changed the basemap and that seemed to have miraculously sorted it. I don't think the basemap chosen (the Esri Imagery Hybrid) was the issue in itself as I've now switched it back to that and it's still working ok. Thanks again.

Hi, Yes all the layers and maps are shared and can be accessed, and the users are in the groups (they can access the data/maps fine and can see all the items in the group view). It seems the only items that can't be accessed are those where the sharing partner's organisation name is in the item's URL (as it is with dashboards and web-apps). In these cases the login screen for the sharing partner appears when they are opened. In case it's relevant, the collaboration is actually between two separate AGOL accounts owned by my organisation. They both use single sign on. I'm an administrator in both (with a different login for each) and I'm the collaboration coordinator for that group on both ends. None of the users on the recipient partner side of things (including me) can open these items.

Hi, We've successfully set up a partnered collaboration in ArcGIS Online which lets users from both organisations access feature layers and web maps. We're having issues however when it comes to the partner users being able to access our web map apps and dashboards share under the collaboration. When they try to access these items they are prompted to log into our organisation which they cannot do as they are not members of our organisation (we use single sign on in just in case it's relevant). Is this expected behaviour or should our partners be able to access these types of content? Many thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Colin

Hi @IsmaelChivite Many thanks for looking into this. I've done a bit more exploring and it seems to only be affecting people in my organisation so I'm guessing it may not be a Survey123 issue (or not completely). I'll go off and do a bit more research and raise a ticket as suggested if needed. Thanks again.

Hi, I've just noticed that all the map questions on our Survey123 webforms are now missing a marker/pin symbol to highlight where you've clicked for a location to be. All these were working previously, but now are missing. Is this a known bug or (new) expected behaviour? Either way it makes selecting a location really hard and users are thinking that the forms aren't working. It seems to be the case in Chrome and Edge, although mobile browsers do have the blue marker symbol (I don't know if they use a different mechanism though). I wondered if it could just be my organisation but I've found examples of other public forms doing it (although not all forms seem affected). The ones we've made will have been created in Connect. I'd be really grateful for any advice/info. Two examples of the forms are linked to below. Hi, I'm interested in using Power Automate for a process involving Survey123, Outlook and Excel, but my survey is a public one and the guidance on public surveys highlights that webhooks for such are 'subject to potential abuse by malicious users'. I was wondering if there was any more information on this or if there was any guidance showing you how to safely use Power Automate with public surveys (assuming you can at all). Thanks in advance Colin

I've created a survey in Connect that I want the public to use through a web browser. I've set the basemap to default as the 'imagery with labels' map and this is what displays in Connect. When I publish the survey and view it in a browser that I'm signed into (using my organisational AGO account) the basemaps is as intended. However, when I look at it without being signed in (as the public would) it defaults to the plain imagery map. I've tried defaulting it to multiple other maps and they always display when I'm signed in, but the form always defaults to the plain imagery map when I'm not. Am I missing something or is this a bug? I'm using version 3.12.230. I note there was this bug before, but it say's it's fixed - also my issue is the default is not honoured in a public, non-signed form only.

Good morning, I have created a web mapping application using WebAppBuilder that has a pop-up containing a hyperlink to an e-mail address. When clicked, this link opens up a new e-mail on the device used (give or take local settings). All is fine within the app itself, but when it's inserted into a Hub page the hyperlink fails to call the new e-mail when used on mobile devices (I've only tested using iPhones and iPads so far). I've tried inserting it using a iFrame card and the Application card but neither method works. For now I've reverted to using the Map card with the underlying web map, which lets the popup hyerlink work, but means we have reduced functionality in the map. Normal web-links in the popups seem to launch a new browser window ok regardless of the card type. We've used this setup before and it's a key bit of an important workflow we use for workign with the public. I have a feeling it used to work, although I'm not 100% certain. I was wondering if this was intended or a bug? If the latter, what would be the best way of getting it logged with ESRI? Any help anyone could offer would be much apprieciated. Colin
