Unfortunately, I don't think we have anyone attending this year. Would love to setup a virtual meeting if possible. Or if you can point us at any online white paper / video that might describe the methods you are thinking about?

When new features are created in GIS to represent future facilities, they are introduced to the Utility Network with "Approved" lifecycle status value. This status distinguishes these features from the rest of the network as they are not yet in service or possibly not even constructed. This is an important stage of the construction process and these new features should be available to edit, analyze and map along with all of the other features. Their inclusion is presenting us a problem building our subnetworks in a way that allows us to include/exclude approved features. Adding approved features as a condition barrier, then connecting approved to active lines will prevent traversability when trying to build the subnetwork. If we don't include approved as a condition barrier they are returned in subnetwork tracing. This makes the result incorrect since the new approved features should not affect the network until the features are active in the field and provided an "In Service" status in our GIS. Our idea is to allow the network to IGNORE features of a designated condition (lifecycle state = "Approved") and let the remainder of the utility network to function as if they do not yet exist.

Now at 2.9.2 and this still appears to be an issue. Only work around that I have been able to come up with is: Setup map with data connection where user/password is saved. Run Package Project to success Deselect the Save User/Password in the database connection Run Package Project again If the Package Project is run first with the database connection where user/password is NOT saved no subsequent packages will be successful. Only if the first attempt at Project Package is run with saved credentials will the second run without saved credentials work. I have only tried this with a sde connection file saved in the project folders. Seems to work for me. Hope this helps others.

I found this in the technical support FAQ... https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000011944 I am not sure if this constitutes an ACCEPTABLE answer, but it does explain the results I am seeing.

We found the issue present when testing over our existing data and with new raw point, line and poly feature classes. Result was the same. I believe our latest upgrade was between 2.8.3 and 2.9.1 I will log a support ticket. Thanks!

We have recently updated to ArcGIS Pro 2.9.1 and are now experiencing issues when zooming in on a single selected point. The map will center on the point but the zoom is close to half of the previous scale. For example, if the map is currently set at 1:250,000, a single point is selected and 'Zoom to Selected' is activated, the result would be a map centered on the point but at a scale of 140,625. Activate 'Zoom to Selected' again and the scale would be 79,102. If the selection includes any polygons or lines or more than one point then the zoom will return as expected: centered on the object(s) and scale slightly larger than the extents of the object(s). Is this a bug or do I need to change a setting somewhere? Thanks, G

In ArcGIS Pro 2.8.1 we are trying to create a replica using arcpy.management.CreateReplica(). The replica is present in both database and arcpy.management.SynchronizeChanges() completes without error. The edits applied to each database is not making across the replica sync into the other database. We have reviewed the prepare-data-for-replication.htm page for possible clues as to what might be going wrong but have yet to find the culprit. Questions: Is the difference in database geometry type (SDO_GEOMETRY in Oracle vs ST_GEOMETRY in PostgreSQL ) causing the replica to ignore/discard data edits? What other gotchas could be hiding in our schema/data that would cause an ArcPro replica to appear normal but fail to pass edits between databases? Thanks, G

As a hack workaround, I added a CalculateField() call that populates a field with the same value it already had to trigger the refresh. # Run CalcField to trigger refresh
arcpy.SelectLayerByAttribute_management('GPS','ADD_TO_SELECTION','POINT_ID={}'.format(pid))
arcpy.CalculateField_management('GPS', 'ORAUSER','!ORAUSER!','PYTHON3') This is not an acceptable solution, but will get us by until someone can figure out what I am doing wrong in the OP.

In ArcPro (the layer fields design window), the user can control the editability of the attributes for a layer. One of the fields exposed in that form is the SHAPE which holds the geometry for that record. If that field is marked as read only, the ability move, rotate or scale the selected feature should be disabled. This or some other method of disabling spatial edits on a given layer while still preserving a users ability to edit some or all of the attributes would be extremely helpful.

By all documentation that I can find ArcPro should refresh the data in a map after running a custom geoprocessing tool. This has not been my experience so far. I have tried to make this tool several different ways. The edit completes successfully, but does not show in the map unless I refresh the map view in the versioning tools. Some think that the automatic refresh will be triggered if the tool has a derived output. Others have said that it will be triggered after the arcpy.da.Editor operation is closed as long as we are working in the "CURRENT" but not sure what that means in determining a workspace. The example below incorporated all of the documented recommendations without success. All we want is a simple tool that updates a select number of attributes on an existing layer and saves them inside of the current version (shown in the map without additional action by user). Any recommendations appreciated. Built with ArcPro 2.6.2 using the New Script wizard with a single input param and a single derived output param: # Import system modules
import arcpy
# Set the parameters
InputIDF = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
#Process: Start Edit
prev_workspace = arcpy.env.workspace
arcpy.env.workspace = arcpy.Describe('GPS').Path
edit = arcpy.da.Editor(arcpy.env.workspace)
edit.startEditing(False,True)
edit.startOperation()
arcpy.SelectLayerByAttribute_management('GPS', 'CLEAR_SELECTION')
with arcpy.da.UpdateCursor('GPS',['IDFEATURE','QAPNTUSE'],'IDFEATURE={}'.format(InputIDF)) as cursor:
for row in cursor:
row[0] = None
row[1] = 5
cursor.updateRow(row)
del cursor
# Cleanup
edit.stopOperation()
edit.stopEditing(True)
arcpy.ClearWorkspaceCache_management()
arcpy.env.workspace = prev_workspace
# Set layer as output param
p = arcpy.mp.ArcGISProject("CURRENT")
m = p.listMaps()[0]
l = m.listLayers('GPS')[0]
arcpy.SetParameter(1, l)

We just noticed this as well. Was this always the case or something new with recent update? Please keep it on the backlog so we can all holdout hope for a fix sometime down the road. Thanks, Glen

We think we have run into this bug as well. We are trying to populate a default on a select_one with autocomplete appearance. The field (and dropdown) looks empty and it is unclear if the value is being set. We have gone ahead with the minimal appearance until the issue can be resolved. Thanks.

We would find it much easier to use the Assignee filter list if it was ordered by worker lastname. Currently it appears to be ordered by objectid (order the user was added to project).

"Currently Survey123 doesn't support the workflow as you describe it. As of yet, we don't have a parameter to denote 'load this existing feature for editing'." ...any chance this is raising to the top of the backlog? We are toying with the idea of a single survey form that would be used multiple times (incrementally) throughout the workflow of a project. Each new visit would build upon the last, so the form would allow the user to review/update the content entered from the previous edits. We would like this "living document" to be linked to from several workforce assignments. Thanks, Glen

HeyJames Tedrick and Ismael Chivite, We recently changed some of our fields to the autocomplete appearance, and we found something we would like you to take a look at. We are running latest version (2.3.29) on iOS. The issue we have is exposed when the value being passed to the form via url scheme is not in the field's choice_list. We run into this because we can't keep up with changes to the contractor list with how we are currently manually publishing the choice_lists with the form (would love to see a way to refresh form's choice_lists via rest or other API but that's a different discussion). Example - The field (CONTRACTOR_ID) that we changed to autocomplete was previously a select_one with minimal appearance. When it received a value not in the choice_list the value was displayed with a strike-through font and the user was left to select another value from the drop-down. Now with autocomplete appearance the value is not shown (field is blank) and their are no values in the drop-down list. The user must enter some value in the field before the drop-down is refreshed to apply the filter. URL: arcgis-survey123://?itemID=7c034801569d4d50b844ee3375173383&field:INSPECTION_NO=695009&field:CONTRACTOR_ID=4831 Result: We would like you to consider either showing the value with strike-through in the box (which they will delete if they want to select something else from drop-down) which is similar to the minimal appearance, or keep the box blank and clear the filter on the drop-down so the user can select any/all of the values from the choice_list. Thanks, Glen
