I would also like to know how they did that. Does it need tracking analyst for server or something? Any one can shed light on this? the tracking points pile up making a mess on the maps 🙂

Sharing it with the organization doesn't make it appear in the Collector for everyone in that organization since Collector only shows content that is in "My Content" or "My Groups". The best way to share a map in Collector is to create a group in your organization, share the map with that group, and have your users who need the map be members of that group. Then they will see the map in Collector. Also, please use the Collector forum for additional questions on this app: this forum is for the Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS application. Thanks for this reply Kylie. This is certainly what I needed.

Hi I' m trying to figure out how this chat widget works what is this chat server url? it also asks for a username or password, so I assumes it like your yahoo messenger username or something also, the videos for the the operations dashboard shows its ability to follow users aboard vehicles, how do I do this? I 'm thinking we can use this for tracking pump boats, helicopters, and so on which will be handy. Imagine combining the chat widget and vehicle tracking.

Try to look at the sharing permissions of the webmap, as well as the data (feature service) that is in the webmap. The publisher (user) needs to have access to both. Since you have it working as administrator, it sounds like it is an operational app. Do make sure the webmap has an editable feature service in there or the collector app won't recognize it. best wishes in the recovery I may have figure out a way but its not fool proof I logged in as the administrator and made sure the web map is shared to the organization (the web map is the one accessed by Collector for ArcGIS right?) I logged in as the publisher and clicking on the Gallery link I can see the webmap by the administrator. Now to be able to use it in Collector for ArcGIS, I must open this web map and save it as another web map in my folder (publisher folder). True enough after doing that, I can now see the copy web map and use the Collector and add points or edits as the publisher. The changes will reflect on the 1. Original Web map by the administrator 2. Operations Dashboard 3. Copy of the Webmap by the publisher so its great right the problem is, The copied web map also appears on the Gallery for the organization meaning instead of a single webmap, I now have two that I can view both as an administrator and publisher. Now imagine if all 50 members who intend to go out and use the collector, they'd have to create a duplicate of webmap for each and everyone of them thus increasing the contents of the gallery. any thoughts on how to do this the right way? thanks!

Hey Guys I'm creating a POC application to help map events in my country (Philippines). This is going to be used on the Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) relief efforts and rehabilitation. I have a question. I created a AGOL trial account as an administrator and created and publish a web map which I can access via the Collector App. The Collector is working as I was able to plot dummy events with attachments. I made sure to share the map within the organization. now, I created another account this time using a seperate email, with a role of publisher. But when I sign in to Collector as the publisher, I can't access the shared web map. Isn't that what AGOL is supposed to provide? sharing of maps and data among organization members? a little help here would mean great things for us.

I think most errors would occur if the .net 4.5 was not installed prior to installing the dashboard so install that first (quick Google) reboot then install the dashboard 🙂 If you have an error when installing Operations Dashboard, please see the following KB article: Error: Cannot install Operations Dashboard http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/41798

I would also like to know how they did that. Does it need tracking analyst for server or something? I am having the same issue. So many dots really clutter up the map and don't show what is really important, where they are now. The demo "Redlands Incidents" shows only the last location of the emergency vehicles so it would seem that the capability is possible. Also, it would be nice to be able to label each collector location so that you would know who is who on the map instead of feature: 0. Thanks, Dave Ostrander

Thanks for the Reply Carol this helped me a lot. Back to the original question of the thread starter, He is asking if there is a way to include in the print out the widgets such as the guage or bar graph or pie etc hmmm Hi, An addin cannot be downloaded directly from ArcGIS Online. 1. Sign into Operations Dashboard (need to have publisher/admin access to make the following changes) 2. Click on Tools, Edit operations view. You will see the "Widgets" menu. 3. Click on Manage Add-ins 4. Click on Add 5. Search for "Print Map"; make sure the search results is filtered by "All Results" 6. Select the Print Map OperationsDashboard AddIn 7. Back on your map. Click the map tools gear and select the print tool. Thanks, Carol

ok so i've been working my ass of trying to figure out how to run my model as a single tool It runs fine when the processes are seperated meaning they are seperate tools 1st step is to simply create a file geodatabase 2nd step should be to iterate a folder containing CAD Data, and using a wildcard to convert only the Polygon DWG type inside the geodatabase we created on the 1st step I'll attach a screenshot anyway I can improve this? they workfine if they are seperate models though Scenarios I tried using a single "output geodatabase parameter" and connect it to the "Feature class to Geodatabase tool" as shown here Result: FAIL, it would gradually run the create geodatabase tool as well overwriting the previous geodatabase in the end only producing 1 polygon feature class instead of 9 I also tried trying to precondition the create geodatabase tool first before iteration begins but it doesn't stop the creating an new geodatabase Result: Same results any help would be great!

some tools require that the input be a feature class or layer. What you can do try using the tool "make feature layer" (creates a temporary layer) in between the add join tool and the other tool you are using. If you want a more permanent solution (permanent layer with the joins) then try incorporating feature class to feature class after the make feature layer tool I am a noob on model building bu I may have encountered what you are trying to do, goodluck, make a Backup first 🙂
