ArcMap used what I'll call, "Hard" scrolling, which means as soon as you stop scrolling on the mouse wheel, the attribute table stops moving. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but right now in ArcGIS Pro, there is a significant delay between stopping of physical scrolling and stopping in the attribute table. This makes it really difficult to stop and view specific data, and really easy to blow past it. Not sure why this was changed?

It would be nice if there was an option to change the target layer while georeferencing multiple image files. This functionality exists in ArcMap. In Pro, in order to change a target layer, a user must hit the Close Georeference button, click on the next layer, and re-open the Georeferencing Toolbar. (Could this be a bug?) Since toolbars are dynamic based on the selected layer in ArcGIS Pro, the Target Layer could change when a different layer is selected in the table of contents? Or, like ArcMap, perhaps just adding a drop down box to select the Target Layer. Either would improve the somewhat clunky behavior of closing/re-opening the Georeferencing Toolbar. Further, not having this change in Target Layer could mean users inadvertently add control points to the wrong layer (if they don't realize that merely selecting a different layer doesn't update the Target Layer)(Made this mistake myself and undid some work).

In ArcPro, both the target feature and input features must be editable to perform the Modify Features -> Clip operation while editing. I'm not sure why this was changed from the ArcMap functionality, as I am not necessarily editing the Input Feature during a clip operation. It's much easier to clip features (and prevent accidental clipping) if the Input Features are allowed to be non-editable. This was allowed in ArcMap, and a common workflow for me was to use a feature class that is not editable to clip other features. For example, if I need to trim vegetation features to their adjacent sidewalk features, I would use a sidewalk polygon to clip the vegetation polygon. In this case, the sidewalk features are not editable, nor are other features (roads, buildings, etc) in my map, so there is no risk of inadvertently clipping another feature that intersects the Input Feature - only the vegetation feature is clipped. Now, in ArcPro, I have two options to ensure this - both add a bit of awkwardness to clipping tasks. 1) I have to carefully manage what layers are editable, and when I am switching between different Input Features to clip, I have to remember to change their editability (even though I'm not editing them). Further, I can't use the clip operation at all if my Input Layer intersects itself (by design, such as a bridge), requiring a manual geometry modification. 2) I have to uncheck the "Clip all editable features" box, and manually choose my input and target features for each clip operation (which adds more steps to complete a modification that was very simple in ArcMap). If we just bring back the ArcMap workflow (and not require an Input Feature to be editable) this problem is easily solved.

I'm trying to display an ArcGIS Online mapviewer (the new mapviewer) that shows locations of incidents. The incidents are spatially coincident (due to the way the data is reported) and the updated clustering ability in the new mapviewer is the perfect way to display this information. The issue is that used in the ArcGIS Dashboard app, the clustering symbology does not display until the map is zoomed. Seemingly minor, this is a big issues as the dashboard is meant to be a public facing app that doesn't necessarily depend on users interacting with the map. Without zooming, the map will appear blank. Here are some other details: Using New Map Viewer with a custom cluster symbology Data is a hosted feature layer in AGOL Normal (un-clustered) symbology works as expected in the Dashboard app Works fine in ArcGIS Experience builder (per a quick test load only) Clusters use a label (for feature count) - this label shows up fine (even when the symbology is missing) Link to the dashboard app: https://universityofutah.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/459a08c769864cc3965e566fb7119af3 (The app is for demo only, and therefore subject to change. The data in the app is fake, built for visualization purposes only). Here is the view as it is (pre pan/zoom) and a view as it should be (after pan/zoom): Any help or advice is much appreciated!

Not sure if this is helpful, but I had the same issue, and after digging through forums and re-reading the documentation, I realized that my issue was because edits were being made and synced, but stored in a newly created version - and therefore not immediately apparent in my dataset that was viewed in ArcMap or ArcGIS Online. The Prepare Data for Offline Use article does state this, but it was a little buried, and didn't get noticed the first run through. To see services and features updated, I had to reconcile and post the newly created version to our production version, and we will need to create a process that does this nightly. It's a silly thing to miss, but a crucial thing to understand in order to complete the sync process with production data. (Check out this documentation to for more information on this process). Hopefully this helps anyone else who is a little lost!

I'm noticing some issues since updating to version 2.0. Not exactly eager at this point to open a help ticket, wondering if anyone else has seen these issues It takes very long to open projects (much longer than 1.4). Sometimes this can take between 5-10 minutes. I have a handful of layout tabs and two map tabs, and I use a connection to our SQL database. Once the project opens, I have the red exclamation mark meaning broken data links. The data in question still appears in my layouts/maps, but I'm unable to change symbology until I repair the links. This continues to occur every time I open the project, even after fixing the links and saving the project. I see really odd annotation behavior. I have four different annotation layers, and only the top most layer is visible in my map. If it turn it off, only the next one is visible, etc, etc. I've also noticed, that I can get both the top two layers to show if I adjust the transparency (albeit they both show up faded). None of these labels are coincident. This only affects how I see the information in the project - when I export a PDF map, annotation displays as it should The map frame fails to update after I make a symbology edit. Nothing is affected in the table of contents view, and nothing is updated in either the layout or map tabs, despite hitting apply. Even a hard refresh fails to display symbology changes. Only saving the project and reopening will show the updated symbology changes. I have also noticed that updates to symbology prevents the layer from loading at all (the layer is not visible, but you are still able to query it). These are all obviously very annoying bugs, and make exporting even current maps a time consuming process. I really wish I had not updated, and I'm afraid that I may be forced to re-author these maps from scratch in ArcMap in order to work with them. Update: Well, I haven't really looked into this further, but we may have fixed the issue while fixing something else. Apparently ArcMap 10.5 uses a different way to manage group permissions, and when I upgraded from 10.4.1 our System Admin had to make some changes there. After the changes were made, I have normal behavior and no issues opening ArcPro 2.0 documents. If it was a permissions issue all along, I'm not sure why I was still able to view data, even if it had broken links, but this fix did the trick. I can explain the actual changes we made in further detail if that's helpful for anyone. Hopefully this insight will assist others!

There have been other versions of this idea that have been flagged as "implemented", (https://community.esri.com/ideas/9541 and https://community.esri.com/ideas/11131 ) but the ability to show or format related records in the pop-up still does not exist. It would be great to show a list of the related records in a feature's pop-up. I'd like people to be able to view different contact information when clicking on a building, but the only way for this to work currently is by creating a long one-to-one join and publishing that as a service or by forcing users to open the table. Both have implications with data design and user experience. Both of the previous ideas where marked as implemented, but the 2016 update to ArcGIS Online only added related table functionality in the webmap's Details Page (which is not a user friendly way to interact with a webmap). The 2016 update also allowed the ability to summarize related data (Configure pop-ups—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS ), so one-to-many relationships with text display a feature count. Again, while an improvement, this isn't terribly helpful for those wanting to view one or two details stored in a related table. I understand it may be difficult to display potentially complex relationship information in a small pop-up, but I have faith in ESRI finding a way to make this better if they continue to work on it.

The June 2016 update to ArcGIS Online now allows for filters to be created using the current date. While this is useful, it only allows users to query by events in the past, using options like "In the last x days" or "not in the last x days". What would be really useful is the same functionality for future events - something similar, like "in the next x days" or "not in the next x days" We use ArcGIS Online to allow users to view information about construction sites, and it would be nice for them to be able to see construction projects that will begin in the next few days for planning purposes.
