Hi James, really appreciate your response. At the moment I'm doing a 'bulk edit' of a single choice drop down or using the desktop editor, but the list of villages is pretty long! Going back to your proposed solution.. Is the workflow that you are suggesting: - user downloads Explorer - Navigates Explorer using an offline map to find the village they are in or clicks on 'find me' arrow to locate themselves - User then clicks on village name, which hyper links to launch a survey in Survey123? Am I understanding you correctly? If so... two questions: - Doesn't the Explorer app need an Esri Login to use it and download a map? If so, I'm unsure of how this would work for a public survey... Or is there a way to add an offline map package to Explorer without the person logging in? - If the latter is true - do you know of a link to how to get an offline map into Explorer? Can this include a basemap? We are working across a vast region of jungle in western Myanmar (Burma)... so interested in what is possible. Thanks again for your help

This seems a relatively simple request: I have a .csv file which I've imported as a hosted feature layer. It has 4,367 rows of point data. It works perfectly and is referenced in multiple web maps and scenes. I want to add a field (column) to that layer and import additional data against the existing rows matched by Unique ID. I've tried to do this by: - Overwriting the .csv file to the layer but it doesn't include the additional column - Creating a new field in the 'Data' view with the same name as the new column in the .csv file and matching by unique ID, but this just throws an 'error' and fails without any other message. I've also tried changing another column which is unique to 'unique' but ArcGIS online says it's not 'unique' even though it is (it has come from a database as a unique field, and in Excel a countif is showing that all rows are unique)... I've gone round in circles for an hour. If every time I want to add a new 'column' / field of data to the same table, I have to upload a new file and create a new hosted feature layer, none of my existing maps will link to the new data, and I'll have to re-create all the web maps again. I really don't want to do a one-to-one join via analysis and create another layer... I just want to simply update my existing table with a new column of data based on import .csv data via a unique ID... What am I missing? Surely this should be such a simple procedure? Thanks

Thanks Dan, I think I've got it. An 'Experience' can just be a simple web page/app with an explorable / shareable map as required. Where as a Story Map includes a 'story' with associated images and text. I think the confusing thing is that 'Experience' comes with a 'scrollable' page template like in this example: ArcGIS San Diego Example and then it seems there is a significant overlap with the 'Story Map' functionality.

OK - I answered this myself. I found that you could edit the layer in the 2D Map Viewer, save it, and the pop ups would pass through to the Scene viewer...

I've created a Scene with multiple layers, customised symbology etc... And it's perfect. The only problem, is that unlike the map viewer, there doesn't seem to be a way to customise the pop up data. i.e. it just shows everything rather than the key content and there seems no way of editing this. The 2D map view allows extensive customisation of the pop ups... Am I missing something in Scene viewer? Is this not possible? At least to only show a subset of data?

Hi, new to ArcGIS and I understand the new Experience builder is an 'upgrade' for the 'WebAppBuilder'... But what exactly are the intended differences between Experience builder and Story Maps? The output looks like it is pretty similar, but just with a different interface... what am I missing?

Hi Owen, it might worth taking a look at how unbounce.com host a 'subdomain' of your organisations site to host landing pages. E.g. If I create a landing page with unbounce.com, I can host it on my site by adding the suffix pages. to my domain. e.g. www.pages.domain.org. You just add a CNAME tag (I think) to the domain, and then the landing pages become customisable, and look like they're being hosted on the organisations sit. For us, it's so easy to add a redirect to our, that it's only the domain that is the main issue (although both would be nice).

We're a non-profit working in a remote area in Asia where there are over 1,400 villages with multiple names due to 53 languages in the region. We have a definitive master list of village names and IDs. At the start of a new Survey123 form... we want users to 'look up' the village from the master list so that we can lock the survey to that village. The form maybe entered 'onsite' or 'offsite' so we can't rely on gathering lat / long at point of entry. This is also an area where there is limited, if any mobile data available. So the form needs downloading before users enter an area where there is no signal. We also need to publish the survey beyond our staff team to hundreds of volunteer healthworkers. It is not possible to purchase login IDs for all these users. We've been able to create a Survey123 form linked to a 'feature service' which pulls village data into a Survey123 'inbox'. This comes from an existing web layer / map with unique village names and latitude / longitude data. But when publishing this form, it seems to require users to 'login' to refresh the inbox. 1) Is this the right method to use? Are there any other approaches we can take to having a 'long searchable list' of village names at the start of a survey so that the survey data is correctly linked to a unique village ID? 2) Are we doing something wrong in the above method? Is there a way for users to download the inbox without logging in? We've shared the web layer as public already. Thank you for your help, Chris
