Yeah, I still can't get it to work. I'm not savvy enough to figure out how to call the google sheet, via google's cloud, using python in ArcGIS Online's notebook.

That's excellent news!! Looks like I now need to learn how to use Python to complete this solution. Much thanks for pointing me in the correct direction.

I have created a google sheet so that I can have multiple people editing the same sheet at the same time. I have created a hosted feature service by using the Add Item from the Cloud and selecting it from Google Drive. My table has an address and city field so that AGOL will geocode the input addresses. Works fine once the connection is created. However, when the google sheet is updated, it doesn't dynamically update in my map, unless I go through the routine of going to Contents, Select the Hosted Feature Service, Click on the Update Data Button and Overwrite Entire Layer. I'm then prompted to sign into my Google Drive account again, then the map will update. Can this be configured to be dynamic without constantly having to constantly Update the Data and resigning into my Google Drive?

I need to be able to dynamically geocode addresses for an upcoming Emergency Operation Center (EOC) exercise. Participants in the exercise will be populating a database, via a web browser (java based), that pushes their input into a SQL database. To get useful information out of this EOC web interface, our web developer has created a SQL Table View with the information required to geocode. Now, it has become painfully obvious that I can't create a dynamic geocoding service with this SQL Table View. Apparently, to create a dynamic geocoding service, the table and the geocoded output results (point feature class), must reside inside a geodatabase together to work dynamically. As incidents are being added and deleted within the SQL Table View, I want the geocoding results to be shown dynamically on a large overhead projector in our EOC. Does anyone know how to take a SQL Table View and have it overwrite another table in a geodatabase, which will subsequently maintain the dynamic relationship created within the geodatabase? Is there any other way to make this work?

I need help with VB Script or Python. I have a "CityStateZip" field and I am trying to break it down into a "City" field, "State" field and a "Zip" field. The value in CityStateZip looks like "San Francisco, CA 94110" What scripts can I use in Field Calculate to separate out these values?

I have zero programming skills here, so I need some help. I have a SDE Feature Class (SQL) showing where current Public Works Department's Projects are currently taking place though out the city. When a project location is added, someone populates the "begdate" field (Project Start Date) and the "enddate" field (Project Completion Date) for that project record. I want to write a script/program that will query the "enddate" field looking for records where the dates have expired. If it's older than today's date on my computer, then those records are selected and deleted from this Feature Class. Where do I start? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Chuck

Figured it out. You use the field summarize function.

I have a bunch of points that have a field that keeps track of annual water usage. I also have a Parcel layer (polygon) that has an empty field waiting to be populated with the annual water usage from the points layer. One parcel may have several points within it. How can I get the collective sum total of annual water usage from multiple points into the individual parcel? Thanks, Chuck
