Thanks for the reply. All of the files are available (see screenshot). The model works seamless when running it in edit mode but not when running the model as a tool. Thanks again.

Hi GIS Gurus, I've created a model that works when running it in edit mode but doesn't when running it from the tool dialog box. This is the scenario: I've got 3 shapefiles that I'm iterating in a model and processing using an in-line variable (%n%). When I run the model in edit mode it produces 3 shapefiles (shapefile0, Shapefile1, shapefile2) without any issues. When I run it from the tool dialog box, it runs without error but for shapefile0, I get the attached error when I try to open the file in ArcCatalog or add it into ArcGIS. The model I'm running is not large and is running 4 tools (see screenshot). I'm running ArcGIS v10 (SP5). I've done some research but unable to find any bugs on this. Cheers, Chris

Hey GIS Users, I'm trying to identify duplicate records from a field and then change these records so they become unique by assigning at the end of text string A,B,C, or 1,2,3 (eg F3241 A56_A or F3241 A56_1). I would like to make the change in the field the records are stored in and not create another field. Also, I'm looking to perform this as part of a bigger function using modelbuilder so would like to use field calculator or a python script so I can place it in the model. I've attached a screenshot of the field & records I'm trying to identify & increment. Any input into to this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Chris

Hi, It would be great to set the background white colour of a legend box to transparent. It works with other colours (using the eyedropper or by checking on 'Simulate layer transparency in legends' but this will only work on a white background hence colours other than white. Thanks,

Hi all, Thats great thanks for the info regarding this. Quick query Jeff will the arcpy iteration function work as part of DDP's? EG: Can I access some of the DDP functionality such as Data Driven Page Name or number via dynamic text? Thanks in advance, Chris

Thats great thankyou for your reply this has done the job! Quick query how does this calculation calculate 49.2 back to 49? Wouldn't it add 0.5 to the number and make it 49.7 then round it up to 48? Sorry for the obvious question. But thanks all the same.

Hi GIS Gurus, I'm coming across the issue were the round function performs round to even which means 56.5 becomes 56 and 55.5 becomes 56. What I would like to do is round for example 56.5 up to 57 using the field calculator but cannot get the syntax to work. Any suggestions or ideas on this would be great. Thanks guys, Chris

Hi I am experiencing the same issue where I need to round even numbers (ie 56.5) up and have tried the following script in the field calculator (using Python parser) but it returns an error: round(!A!* !B! /10.0) I'm not really up with Python so not sure what needs to be changed in the script. Thanks in advance, Chris

Hi Esri Inc, Having the ability to change the default font setting in the legend dialog box upon creation would be excellent for users who use different font types as their default font. This would be much more efficient then having to change the font each time a new item is added to the legend. Thanks, Chris

Hi, I was wondering if you could assist me with an ArcGIS Mobile issue. A large client of ours is having problems when saving an ArcGIS Mobile Project (see attachment). The error did not occur while using a trial licence and has since started when the trial licence expired and they changed to a permanent licence. We suggested to restart the ArcGIS som/soc service to pick up the new licence but this has not solved the issue. I will attach the log file in a separate post. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Chris
