I have created a mobile app using dojox mobile to make it look like an iphone app. It does all that its supposed to do on the tables but when the map is activated certain mobile devices cant handle the map caches. After panning in say, a Blackberry curve, for a few minutes, the application crashes. The browser shows an error message. Also, on other devices such as the iphone, androids, if the application is left open for a period of over 15 minutes and you come back to it, it does not respond. It may do the queries, but there will be no map. You have to hard refresh the whole application to make it work again. My questions are, is there a way to flush the cache when a user initiates a search so the map tiles dont take up space (like destroy the map and recreated on demand)? and, is it ok of a practice to refresh the application every 15 minutes for the user? Thanks all.

I was using SL 4 and api 2.1 with DB's Printing Sample. It worked great, but now I updated to SL 5 with api 2.4 and everything gets jammed together when printed. Everything looks fine in the preview child window, but when sent to the printer, it does not keep its format. Did something change? I know that SL5 uses vectors and bitmap, is there sample code to show how to treat these two with the new stuff? Also, the "onDemand" layers are not coming up on the printed map or the preview map. Can onDemand layers be printed? Thanks all

Hi, I am new to python and ARCGIS both. I am using arcgisscripting to create my database connection, is there a possibility to call a oracle strored procedure within a python script. I saw some example that call to oracle procedure but that was using cx_Oracle connection. Thanks in advance. Were you able to complete this. I am running into problems as well and the link above did not help me much. Thanks.

I added the new legend control and I want to use the "CheckBox_Checked" event within the legend to force a layer to uncheck itself when another layer is checked, but I cant find the IsChecked property for it. Here is what I want to do: <esri:Legend Map="{Binding ElementName=MyMap}" LayerItemsMode="Tree" x:Name="l_legend" ShowOnlyVisibleLayers="False" Refreshed="Legend_Refreshed" > <esri:Legend.MapLayerTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <CheckBox x:Name="LayerCheckLegend" Content="{Binding Label}" IsChecked="{Binding IsEnabled, Mode=TwoWay}" IsEnabled="{Binding IsInScaleRange}" Checked="CheckBox_Checked"> Private Sub CheckBox_Checked(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs) If l_legend.LayerItems(5).IsSelected = True Then l_legend.LayerItems(6).IsSelected = True End If If l_legend.LayerItems(6).IsSelected = True Then l_legend.LayerItems(5).IsSelected = False End If l_legend.Refresh() But instead of IsSelected, IsChecked. Is it there and I cant see it?
