Hi, unfortunately not, a Free Routing URL for the UK would really open things up for us in terms of what we could do with web apps, but at the moment we can't justify the amount of credits we could potentially use.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your response, what I am really looking for is an open source routing URL I could use instead of the ESRI provided service which uses credits. Is this something anyone is aware of? A similar question was posted here but was never resolved: https://ask.openrouteservice.org/t/routing-for-arcgis/271/4 Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, I’m currently in the process of creating a Web app using the MyNearest widget. I want to include a routing option to direct people to their nearest facilities based on the results of the widget. The MyNearest widget itself has the option to input a routing URL which would usually be the ArcGIS World Routing Service but this consumes credits. As the web map will be available to the public I would like to avoid using credits if possible. Is anyone aware of a free or open routing service which provides a Service which can be plugged straight into arcgis in this way without any coding? I’d be surprised if there wasn’t but I can’t find anything myself. Thanks in advance for any replies, very much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, apologies in advance as this isnt isn’t specifically related to ESRI however I’m hoping you can help. I'm looking for sources of historic mapping from around 1800 - present for the UK. I know there is likely to be a few which isn't a problem, what would be best is either a free source of the data or a subscription service where I can pay monthly to access this data. if anyone has any information at all that would be great. thanks, Charlie

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I was wondering how you got round this? I have a similar problem where I am looking to divide property points into polygons with an equal number of points. It would be great if there are any suggestions or anyone can share their experience on this. Thanks in advance for your help Thanks, Charlie

Hi Craig, Thanks for helping out with this it is much appreciated and also apologies for the delay in response. By setting the default map I was referring to setting the dispatcher map to a map I had published from ArcGIS server. I originally enabled popups on the layer so was hoping I could create assignments from any features in the map. I also tried this by simply adding layer from file as you mentioned but experience the same problem. when creating assignments and trying to click on a feature it simply creates an assignment against the closest address it can find rather than the feature. Do I need to use a specific type of layer for this, I was hoping we could simply use one of our already published map services. Thanks again for your help and if there is any further information I can provide please just let me know. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, As part of a digital transformation process we are looking at a work management tool for our Grounds Maintenance teams. I have been having a play around with Workforce and I think this could really work for us. One thing I am struggling with is the ability to create assignments from features, I have set the default map to one our existing maps but when creating an assignment don't seem to have the ability to select a feature. Do I need to use a map with a feature layer for this to work? I have enabled pop-ups on all of the layers I would like to create assignments from. If we do need to use feature layers this could cause a problem as the majority of our data is currently in Shapefile format. I appreciate I have very little knowledge of Workforce but couldn't see an answer to this on the web or in any documentation. Any help or information is much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

Hi Everyone, I am just looking for some advice on how everyone else deals with public and private maps in ArcGIS Portal. We use Portal instead of Online as this gives us more flexibility with Server and also means we can go geocoding and processing on premise meaning we don't use any Online Credits. How does everyone else go about securing maps and apps so they are only available internally within your organisation? I would like some maps to be available internally but not to the general public. We don't have enough licences to provide every member of staff with a login. We also do publish some public maps so need the ability to do this meaning we can't hide all of our apps / maps behind our firewall. If anyone could let me know how you overcome similar issues your help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, We use ArcGIS Collector to inspect Trees which also involves collecting images as attachments. If an image is taken in portrait this still displays as landscape when viewing the attachment in Portal / Online. I would presume this is simply the default display by the browser rather than an AGOL or Portal issue, but is there anything that can be done? We can work around this using web browser extensions to rotate the image but hopefully this will just be required as a temporary measure. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, I know i'm jumping on this thread late but does anyone know if there has been any progress on this? We use Portal and Collector and the ability to either manually rotate a map or the option for the rotation to follow the direction of the user in Collector would be really useful. I know this can be done using the Javascript API but we are looking for this in the standard Portal/Collector deployments. If anyone has any information that would be great. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, We have set up a feature service from an SDE point layer with related records in a table. The SDE layer is for collecting information on Trees with the related table layer for collecting data on inspections against the trees. In Arcmap and ArcGIS Collector when viewing existing related records for a tree the field which shows is the auto generated user field as below: I would like this to instead show the inspection date field shown in the below list of attributes. Is there any way to change which is the 'title' field in essence as this would make more sense to collectors in the field. Any help would be much appreciated, I presume this could be because this is the first text field on the list but if there is a way to show the date that would be great. Thanks in advance for any responses. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, Do we know if / when this is going to be available in ArcGIS Online/Portal? We use ArcGIS Collector but the option to add and edit related records in ArcGIS Online and Portal would make things a lot easier and quicker for office based staff rather than having to load up Arcmap for a simple change. If anyone can share any information on this that would be much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, I'm hoping you can help. We have a versioned SDE Geodatabase in Oracle which stores information on Trees. Currently when collecting / editing records the users choose a Common Name for the tree, we are looking to automatically update the Latin Name depending on what is selected in the Common Name field. I was thinking of using a trigger but as the table is versioned I believe this isn't recommended. We do have FME which we could use to update the values but again as manually using SQL / Triggers isn't recommended I want to ensure we are going through the correct processes. I don't mind if the values are say scheduled to update nightly rather than using a trigger but if anyone could recommend the best way to go forward with this that would be great? FME would work for us but I'm not sure if FME will deal with the versioning correctly. Thanks, Charlie

Hi, We have had ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 and ArcGIS Portal 10.4.1 installed and running since August with ArcGIS Web Adapter installed on our web server. I have recently been looking at creating story maps through Portal and notice to host the images I need to configure ArcGIS Data Store. This has been installed since August but never configured. If I configure this now to point to our 10.4.1 Server is this going to cause any problems or can I simply configure this and carry on as normal? Thanks in advance for any responses they are much appreciated. Thanks, Charlie

ArcGIS Server and Portal version 10.4.1 I am having an issue with a certain web application using the Public Information app template. I can't turn off or on any of the layers in the Layers list. I receive this error in the web browser console: Chrome: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'defaultVisibility' of undefined at Object._getVisibleLayers IE: Unable to get property 'defaultVisibility' of undefined or null reference The data is from an ArcGIS Server web service and don't have a problem with any of my other applications. Funnily enough the web map that this app uses works fine and I can turn on and off the layers. I created a new web app from the same map but this has the same issue. Is there anything you can suggest or advice? Thanks in advance for your help. Charlie
