This is a similar idea to the following posts: Re Associate Archive Tables https://community.esri.com/ideas/2650 Keeping a true history of an asset's history would require that the information be located in one spot and not across several standalone tables. Administrators will inevitably have to turn off archiving and unregister data as versioned in order to do maintenance. This feature would help to make a GIS database more of a true asset register.

Sebastian, Did you have any luck with this concept? I'm looking to have others add new overflow report information to a related table. Your post here is the closest thing I've seen to accomplishing this task... Thanks for any help you can provide! -Durphey

Hi Chris, I have tried to replicate your problem, but every time I check my edits in, my photos are copied to the folder specified at check-out without any issues... Could you please provide some more detailed information about your workflow? Maybe then we can figure this out for you & anyone else who may be experiencing similar (mis)behavior... Thanks, Hannah Ferrier Mobile GIS Specialist, Maptel (ArcPad Development Team) Hannah, Thanks for responding first off. Here's a description of the workflow I am using: I am working with the new Geo6000 XT unit with the latest service pack of ArcPad. I double checked to make sure that all service packs for ArcGIS have been installed as well as any updates to Trimble GPS Analyst. 1) Pull data into arcmap and save an mxd in a project folder on the server we work off of. 2) I then use the Trimble GPS Analyst Extension to check out an arcpad data. During the arcpad checkout I have specified either a share folder on our project server or a local folder on my C: Drive (Neither of which I have gotten to work yet). I also made sure that my picture field was set to the attribute that will hold the hyperlink (PictureHyperlink). I made sure that the field has plenty of length to hold the hyperlink text. 3) I start a GPS session and then collect a point with GPS (representing a street sign in my case). After filling in the necessary attributes on my custom form I then select the picture tab. Then I take a picture making sure that the attribute "PictureHyperlink" (the field I'd like to store the hyperlinks in) is selected in the combo box. 4) After that I stop editing and save my map. I then come back in the office and proceed to check in my ArcPad file finding that the pictures I have taken reside in my ArcPad project folder but will not transfer to the folder I specified during the checkout. Does anything I'm doing look out of sorts? Thanks again for any input. Chris

I am having a problem when checking in an arcpad AXF file that I have stored photos with. During the checkout I specify a share folder on our network that I want to store the photos I am taking in the field (\\servername\Photos). However, during the check in process the photos are not copied to the share folder I specified during the check out. I have upgraded ArcGIS 10 and ArcPad 10 to the latest service packs. I have tried the check out/check in process with both the ArcPad Data Manager and the Trimble GPS Analyst (v2.40 w/ updates) but have not successfully had the photos copy to the share folder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

GE, I have a question regarding the check-out replication process from an SDE version. I am creating a replica GDB from a version so that I can bring data collected with a GPS back into that replica personal GDB as to differentially correct the field data. I am doing this through ArcGIS 9.3.1. I keep getting the following error after I try to create a replica: "Create replica failed. Invalid Column value [Name]" This only happens when I specify that I would like to see the advanced options and then select only one feature class from my feature dataset. If I do not check the advanced options box and create the replica, it works. Any ideas? Thanks for the help in advance. Chris
