Replying to my own thread: the problem is coming from excel. In excel , you'll have to import data from the csv as a .txt/"UTF-8" encoded then save the file as .xls for example for the accents to appear correctly.

Hi I use the standard extract widget to export shapefile files from an A.Viewer map. When I try to re-import them by using the "shapefiles widget v.3.3", I have the following error: [RPC Fault faultString="Unable to project" faultCode="400" faultDetail="'geometries' must be specified"]. Importing a shapefile generated from A. Desktop works though. Wonder if it's coming from the clip and ship options. 2 sample shapefiles are attached, thanks for your help.

Hi, We have tested successfully the new 3.3 <exportcolumndelimiter> tag within the attribute table widget configuration. Unfortunately accents are not handle in the .csv files generated with the widget (see file attached). Problem occurs whatever the delimiter chosen. It doesn't seem an existing config tag could help. We have the french localization of App Builder.

The widget works great on Viewer for flex 3.2! Unfortunately very few customizations are possible, so we'd like to get the source code if it's possible. Thank you. Michelle, I have not seen an update on this widget for a good deal of time on the ESRI site...(the widget we have been updating as the FV releases change "was" titled: FrStreetView) I have attached the compiled widget that works for 3.1 viewer (at least for us). Let me know if you need the uncompiled code. Hope this helps. Eric V Gurnee, IL

Hi in complement to my thread: the error seems to occur because we don't have the data interoperability extension. When running the clip and ship process on Arcgis desktop with kmz format as output, the following error occurs: export to OGSKML failed. Formats require data interoperability extension. This extension is missing. I have no problem when configuring .gdb or .shp as output format. Can someone confirm the clip and ship .kmz (and other formats) export requires the data interop extension? Thx

Hi, I've linked the 3.2 Data Extract widget with the clip and ship geoprocessing service customized for our layers. Thus we have now the possibility to launch a .kmz extraction (see snap). .gdb and .shp extractions are OK but we can't achieve .kmz and other extra format extractions. Error: "Unable to process request. Error handling service request : java.io.IOException: Server object extension 'featureserver' not found. Instance of the service 'Extraction.GPServer' crashed. Execution of job jb95512a187a442adb1cf1f6bdeb84aa7 failed. The service was unable to change the status of the job." Is there a special configuration to be able to extract in kmz format? Thanks

Ok, do you think posting an Arcgis idea would be appropriate for this kind of enhancement ? Thx

I think it would be much easier and less intrusive to change the separating character at the source: the attribute widget. Has someone tried? Thx

Same problem here. We use ";" as standard separation in csv so extracted csv are not displaying in columns. It would nice to have csv list separator as a config tag in the widget. Thx for your help

Ok in concept that might be possible but both templates do not approach the application the same way. They appear to have different authors. If you expect users to be obtain code and inject code from other templates the application approach, configuration and setup of the templates needs to be identical. Something I have yet to see between any of them. Couldn't agree more. Instead of one "basic" template and many very specific ones , it would be time saving to normalise all functionalities into one big , dojo oriented , "standard" template. Users could then activate/desactivate what they need through parameter values (true/false) in index.html. Any chance for it to happen soon?

Some recurring problems when using our Rest services to display Map Service content on a webmap: after a few zoom, our layer(s) display ends up freezing at a certain zoom level or is half drawn. You have to refresh the entire page to display it normally again. Sometimes, after some more zoom, the Rest page of the map service is down showing error: org.apache.jasper.el.JspELException: /www/mapserver/mapserver-html.jsp(87,0) '${mapInfo.layerTree}' Error reading 'layerTree' on type com.esri.rest.mapserver.MapInfo We are using Arcgis 9.3. Internet connection is about 400ko/s. No such bugs occur when displaying uploaded shapefiles on a webmap. Do you think it's coming from Arcgis Online or our configuration? Considering Migrating to 10.1 would solve the point or at least improve it? Or using WMS calls instead of Rest services? Thanks
