Hello I am new to using Mobile applications. I'm trying to sync between ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.0 and ArcGIS Server 10.0 and I assume its failing because of the security on my web services (IIS). How do I use the code you have to accept any untrusted certificate? Is this the answer to the iussue I am also having? Thanks so much! Carma

Hi Denise Thanks for getting back to me. I'm aware of that issue and did also have that one aswell but managed to use that way around and it fixed the problem on my desktop. The issue is actually connecting from ArcGIS Mobile on a handhelf device to ArcGIS online (downloading project from AGOL). The Windows handhelp device is connected to the internet via a Wifi connection however when logging in to AGOL through ArcGIS for Mobile, is returns a 'Login Failed' message. We've tried it on 2 different devices both logging into ArcGIS online and also ArcGIS Portal with no luck. Thanks again for your input and advice! Carma

Hello I???m running into some synchronization issues with my mobile project for BCC. I???ve created a mobile project using a feature service hosted on AGOL, deployed the project to a device by copying and pasting the project folder onto the device, collected a feature and now wish to synchronise back to AGOL. I can select the Synchronise task, put in the AGOL credentials (multiple times for some reason) and it returns a ???Success??? message to say that the sync has been completed. However the edits are not there when I go online to view the feature service. I also wanted to look at the option of accessing the project directly from ArcGIS online rather than physically transferring it onto the device however when i go to download a project, i put my credentials in and it returns a 'login failed' message. I'm connected to Wifi so not sure whats going on! Thanks in advance. Carma

Hello I am a very very very new user of python and have a question that might not make sense. If I am writing a script for a new tool, I need to know the 'words/codes' in arcgisscripting (note I am using 9.3) that I can use to tell the script to do certian things. For instance if I want a script to go into a particular attribute table and then create a list in a text file of all the attributes for a particular feature class, I need to know what to type in the script. These words come from the arcgisscripting module however I need a manual or some list of code that is in this module in order to be able to use it. I have searched up and down for this and thought it would be something that is avaialbe to anyone who needs to use arcgisscripting to write script tools. Am I wrong? what happens with other modules?? Are there lists of code/words for all modules that you can use to know what to do with the module? The way I am interpreting all of this new coding stuff is that each module is like a language in itself with words/codes that mean something to python but how am I meant to tell python what words/code I want to use if I don't know the words/codes that are available and what they mean?? I hope this makes sense to some one! Thanks Carma Gerber
