Hi all, I would like to query via REST items that don't have any category assigned. I've tried with several options in the categroies parameter with any luck: https://portal_machine/portal/sharing/rest/search?f=pjson&q=owner:user1&categories='' https://portal_machine/portal/sharing/rest/search?f=pjson&q=owner:user1&categories=[] https://portal_machine/portal/sharing/rest/search?f=pjson&q=owner:user1&categories=[""] ... Any one knows how to get only no categories items? Thanks in advance! BR Borja

Hi Morten, Thank you for your response. The problem occurs only when zooming, not panning. My environment is a single machine where ArcGIS Server 10.7.1 is installed and the cache is stored locally in C: (SSD). The ArcGIS Runtime .NET App is executed in the same machine so there is no network lag. Also, the ArcGIS Server WMTS Service that I'm testing in the aplication is not experiencing any CPU o RAM overload when the aplication start to render very slow as the video attached shows. In addintion, if I test the aplication in a 1920x1080 the performance is fine. As I make the screen bigger, the tiles begin to take time to render. Any other customer of cause of use with large screen size (3840x2160)? Could this be the expected behavior working with this screen resolution? Any other help would be appreciated. BR Borja

Hi, I'm using WmtsLayer from an ArcGIS Server 10.7.1. With ArcGISTiledLayer (REST) the performance is not as bad as with wmts. As I cannot make public muy server, I attach the xml capabilities from the service. Also, more screenshots with wondows task window. WMTS REST

Thanks for your response Michael. Yes I've tested that way, also executing the bin\Release\App.exe with Visual Studio closed. I've founded a similar post but It seems that in 100.9 the performance problem persists. ArcGIS Runtime 100.4 draws basemap really slow when zooming with the mouse wheel Also, I tried to configure GC without any success. GC.TryStartNoGCRegion(2097152, true) App.config <runtime> <gcServer enabled="false" /> </runtime> Best Regards. Borja

Hi again, Also, I've noticed that when some of the tiles are stuck, the garbage collector has been launched several times in a very short period of time. And at the same time, this messages in the ouput console Exception thrown: 'System.ObjectDisposedException' in System.dll Exception thrown: 'System.ObjectDisposedException' in System.dll Exception thrown: 'System.Net.WebException' in System.dll Exception thrown: 'System.Net.WebException' in System.dll Exception thrown: 'System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException' in mscorlib.dll Exception thrown: 'System.ObjectDisposedException' in System.dll Exception thrown: 'System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException' in mscorlib.dll Exception thrown: 'System.ObjectDisposedException' in System.dll BR

Hi Morten, Thank you for your response. I mean low framerate. During moving the mouse wheel to zoomin/out rapidly, some frames of the app keep freeze/distorted and are not rendered fine until 3 or 4 seconds. Screenshot attached. I deploy the application with the Realease configuration mode active in Visual Studio. BR Borja

I am working with .NET SDK v100.9 on a project. There is a visualization performance drop on a basic application when app enters fullscreen. The app loads, as a basemap, only a url from ArcGIS Server 10.7.1. The url loaded is a WMTS that has been cached with this levels: 4M, 2M, 1M, 500K, 250K, 100K, 64K, 32K, 16K, 8K, 4K, 2K and 1K. Navigation performance in fullscreen (resolution 3840x2160) starts to be very poor, performing fast mouse wheel moves (zoomin/zooout). The performace is good if only Pan is doing. If I resize the app window decreasing it, the navigation performance seems to be better as the window size is getting smaller. I tried creating several services with different tile sizes from 128x128 to 1024x1024. 256x256 seems to be the better option. During the navigation in fullscreen ArcGIS Server machine memory and cpu are quite low. Application process in the windows client machine reaches 25% of CPU, when the tiles are not rendering properly fast. Are there any tunings I can make to adjust the performance? App code attached BR Borja

Hi Derek, Deleting config-store-connection.xml is a possible/supported workaround at ArcGIS Server 10.7.X and higher, to create a new site in other location (other UNC path for example) if the original config-sotre directory has been corrputed or is not available any more? Thanks in advance Borja

Hi Morten, I have installed VS2091 and still having the same problem. These are the tasks I made: 1. Install VS2019 2. Create new WPF Aplication project 3. Create new WPF User Control project 3.1. Install ESRI.ArcGISRuntime and ESRI.ArcGISRuntime.WPF from Manage Nuget Package 3.2. Add xmlns:esri="http://schemas.esri.com/arcgis/runtime/2013" to UserControl.xaml 3.3. Add <esri:MapView/> 4. Add project refrence from the main project 5. Add xmlns:gis="clr-namespace:GISModule;assembly=GISModule" to the MainWindow.xaml 6. Add the user control <gis:UserControl1/> to the MainWindow.xaml The error message is still raising. am I missing something? BR Borja

Dear All, I'm developing an application with WPF for .NET through a project inside a Solution in Visual Studio 2017. It has several non ArcGIS functionalities. In the same solution I added a new project to develop some GIS functionalities with ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET. In this project, I installed the ESRI.Runtime.WPF package from NuGet. This poject is an UserControl project with an XAML file. I have added a Mapview to the XAMl as the guide says: <UserControl x:Class="GISModule.UserControl1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:esri="http://schemas.esri.com/arcgis/runtime/2013" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:GISModule" mc:Ignorable="d" d:DesignHeight="450" d:DesignWidth="800"> <Grid> <esri:MapView> <esri:Map> <esri:Map.Basemap> <esri:Basemap Name="Basemap"> <esri:ArcGISTiledLayer Name="World Topographic" Source="http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Topo_Map/MapServer"/> </esri:Basemap> </esri:Map.Basemap> </esri:Map> </esri:MapView> </Grid> </UserControl> Then, I have referenced the GIS project in the Non GIS project and added the tags in the main XAML <Window x:Class="MainModule.MainWindow" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" xmlns:MyNamespace="clr-namespace:GISModule;assembly=GISModule" xmlns:local="clr-namespace:MainModule" mc:Ignorable="d" Title="MainWindow" Height="450" Width="800"> <Grid> <MyNamespace:UserControl1/> </Grid> </Window> Now, an error is presented in the tag <MyNamespace:UserControl1/> Error Initializing ArcGISRuntimeEnviroment. Unbale to find ArcGIS Runtime deployment folder. I attach the error. If I install the ESRI.Runtime.WPF package in the Non GIS project, the problem is solved, but I wouldn't want to install the package in each project. Is there any way to solve this issue without installing the package in the Non GIS project? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Michael, that's it! Yes, the idea is to have an ArcGIS Runtime Application in background with an instance of the Local Server running with some services published. Then, develop another application with ArcGIS Javasciprt API consuming those services.

Hi, I'm developing an ArcGIS Runtime WPF appliation that startup a LocalServer to publish some mpk created in ArcMap. During the LocalServer initialization I can see in the console that the LocalServer will be started listening in a port between 50000 and 60000, and with a random prefix to be included in the url: 'maxport' = '60000' 'minport' = '50000' 'urlprefix' = 'random' So, for example, the url of the server could be: http://127.0.0.1:50000/27QB1W/arcgis/rest Each time the application starts, and initializes the local server, the url prefix is changed. is there any way to fix to a static values, the port number and the urlprefix? I'm going to develop a javascript application that can consume the services published in the local server, so that is the reason to have a fixed server url. Thanks in advance.
