do i have to download it here: Download and install—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop it says: "You can get ArcGIS Pro if you're current on maintenance for ArcGIS Desktop, or download the ArcGIS free trial." what the heck does that mean--current on maintenance? what kind of dork speak is that? and why would i want a free trial when it supposedly comes with the personal use license?

I also have the a personal use license I bought from ESRI. Where is ArcGIS Pro? What do I have to do to use it? It's not in my programs. Where is it supposed to be? Why can't ESRI ever do anything in a user friendly way? Every time I have to download something, whether it's a service pack, some update, a course, etc., it's a frickin' nightmare. It has been this way from when I started using ArcGIS when it was at 8.x. If it wasn't so frustrating it would be a joke.

Thanks for trying, if it turns out it’s the only imagery available for the area I will try again.

Thanks for the help, I have tried your suggestions, the links, to no avail. It looks like it will be easier and of higher quality to photograph a photograph of the entire area thus eliminating the need to mosaic. By the way, my "anyone" subject worked--I received replies! I know it was bit obnoxious.

I created footprints which is why the borders disappear when zoomed in. However, the borders reappear at the scale I want to export the map at.

At this point I am working on the mosaic of rectified images with the scale issue: showing borders at 1:40k and not 1:24K. I recreated the mosaic and this time around the inner borders won't to away at any scale. I've played with all the tools, such as calculate stats, build footprints, build boundary, build overviews. If it matters, the method I have used to rid the images of borders is by setting the minimum data value in Build Footprints at 75, if I recall correctly. Also, I get a black mask over the entire mosaic unless I select Percent Clip in Symblology. Thanks

Hi, I mosaiced scanned slides/photographs by creating a mosaic data set within a file geodatabase. Besides the result looking pretty ugly, my most pressing problem is that the borders show up or go away depending on the scale. See Doc1.docx Thank you

Dan, The script on *https://community.esri.com/blogs/dan_patterson/2016/09/01/distance-calculations-using-the-field-calculator <https://community.esri.com/blogs/dan_patterson/2016/09/01/distance-calculations-using-the-field-calculator>* returns angles between successive points, is there a script anywhere that returns bearings or azimuths? Do any of the other suggested scripts I received a couple weeks ago return azimuths or bearings between successive points? Once I have bearings I can then use the *Convert Azimuth to Compass Bearing *script. Thanks, Bob

Dan, the field I was using your script in was a text field but it still failed to execute. One of the error messages in the Geoprocessing results is "The field is not nullable. [dir] ". Is that the problem? dir is the field I was working on, Bearing is the field with the angles Thanks a million, Bob
