We also created a standalone feature class, outside of the network, which we can copy / paste the retired features into, which removes it from the topology. The feature class is within the same database, and edit service, just outside the network. It works. We haven't gotten to Z yet, which is why we went that route.

Especially when working with something like #utilitynetwork, this would be very useful. I like @DanielWebb solution, but there is no way to do that within geoprocessing scripting within Python. You have to do it within the UI. A GP tool, that allows you to set the order, so it could be scripted would be very useful.

Yes, we are using the version management role already. Weird that even with my Version Manager, being my UN owner, I still couldn't add the rule, which was driving me crazy on a Friday afternoon. Thanks for the prompt reply!

To be clear, I used the Alter Version tool to remove the protection temporarily. That was the fix.

Yup, that was the issue. Would be nice if that Add Rules tool gave me an error that told me it couldn't process because the default version was protected. Back in business. Thank you both @PaulLeBlanc1 and @RobertKrisher .

@RobertKrisher or @MikeMillerGIS or anyone else in the Community, We have a Water irrigation Utility Network, which we are attempting to clean up some missing rules which we need to fix some of our network topology errors. Using the Schema owner, connected to the SQL Server, I am attempting to run the Add Rule tool within ArcGIS Pro, and I can't the tool to run or get past this error. This is within the development environment, which we refreshed from production recently, via the SQL back end. I am connected as the utility network owner (within ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9) running ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5, and network topology disabled. I made sure all services were stopped, tried it with the edit service running, and nothing gets past it. I get other errors that are more helpful, which lead me to connecting to the enterprise GDB, via the schema owner, which is why I find it weird that it is saying it has to be the owner of a version. I thought I would try here, before I go to support. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same issue with the add rule tool. Thanks!

Hey @MatheusSparapani , Modifying your service territory is not supported at this time. Your best bet is to take a large area (larger than the extent of your service territory) and use that as a service territory at the asset package level. This is documented by ESRI here: Here . See "Network modifications" Hope that helps.

@Laurenventure I don't connect to City Works, but I have created Read only feature services, within the ArcGIS Enterprise environment, for consumption in older applications like ArcMap. The key thing is to curate the services as not editable, and not load your actual network in the service. In my current example, I have just my network lines loaded into my ArcGIS Pro Map, publish to ArcGIS Enterprise, and that service which I created I can load into ArcMap. Hope that helps.

Hey @geopamplona , I was able to install the tools, but I have yet to test them in Pro 2.9.2 (soon to be 2.9.3). It appears from the other case that you may have found a solution, but if you wish for me to test my loading spreadsheets into some of my data ahead of time, let me know. Right now I am on about a once a month cadence, while we build and load this data into our UN for testing purposes. Users are testing right now, so I don't want to reload until I get the results from that testing. It's a process. Good luck!

@AlixVezina , Any idea when some of these tools for experience builder or ArcGIS Instant apps will be migrated to ArcGIS Enterprise, rather than ArcGIS Online? To me it would make sense to have those tools available in ArcGIS Enterprise, for organizations which are hosting their UN on ArcGIS Enterprise.
