Thank you for your help. Now, I created a cvs file with coordinates as DMS but when I import them into ArcOnline, they show up as six-digit numbers (for example, 323232N loads as 323,232.00). Do I need to change a format or something?

Right, thanks. So, I have a CSV file, but it looks like I might have to label the columns "Lat" and "Long" in order for GIS Online to properly read it, correct?

Hello, I'm trying to use the clip function. I have a satellite image as a .tiff file in Arc. However, when I pull up the clip function, it does not show up as an option to clip. What do I need to convert it to in order to clip out a polygon from that image? Thanks!

Thank you both again. Yes, "define projection" worked like a charm. I'm working with data over Nigeria at the moment. I just had to put it in WGS84.

Hello, I'm downloading an image file from Africa . I can unzip the file and pull the .tif into Arc, but what is the best way to georectify it? There seem to be tif.aux and tif.ovr files as well. thank you! Brian

Yes, thank you! That answered my question. I needed to set the trackpad to the correct setting. Now I can right-click in arc.. (control panel - system & security - bootcamp - trackpad)

Thank you both. I'm actually not using a mouse at all. I've just been using the touchpad on the laptop. Maybe I should try using a mouse instead. Steven are you using a MAC? It sounds like I should try using a MAC mouse specifically, correct?

Not sure if it's relevant, but I am also running this on a new laptop. I'm wondering maybe if I have to configure the keypad or something too? In addition, I am using it on a MAC that I have configured the hard-drive to run windows in order to load Arc. Maybe the commands are a little different than on a PC?

Hello, I've just started using my Arc Desktop at home (basic user license), and when I right-click on a shapefile I cannot get anything to come up (ie, attribute table, label, etc). Any idea why? thanks!
